Re: App Wrestling in the Top 25
For Cornell is may be some very close matches. And not to take away from the ranking, but there are only about 70-some wrestling schools I think. It seems to be, if not a dying sport, at least a sport that is not really growing and shrinking at a slow pace. This would be the same ratio as having an ...

SoCon Wrestling
UT-C and App are on top of SoCon Wrestling, both with 3-0 records. I watched some of this on-line and the alumni turnout was very good.

Re: North Dakota State
Do they have the stadium or the fan base to justify a move? I know they are dominating in historic ways at the FCS level and they have enough of a tradition of winning that I think they could make a nice transition as we and GaSo did. However ND is a small state though growing due to the oil shale. ...

This is the football folder by the way... I wish to beg your pardon; just in fun, but with a small a spoonful of seriousness. I do have a debilitating eye condition that is ongoing and beyond treatment. There's no cure. It will eventually leave me blind. I'm almost to the "no more driving stage." I...

Boise State was a junior college in the life-time of some on this board. I am sure that stings to some in Moscow.APPdiesel wrote:All of those examples prove my point that it's not about being an FCS flagship but an inferiority complex with Boise State.

Re: Jacob vote for my next app state video
It seems you are going to do some historical stuff next. My suggestion is Old Mountain Jug App vs Michigan App vs GaSo and then a Black Saturday Video. No reason except my personal opinion to get the old stuff done now in the off season and the more current stuff (GaSo and Black Saturday) can then b...

Re: Camellia Bowl apparel
As YesApp stated it is a t-shirt and a not a heavy duty one at that. It will not be worn that much to be honest. It was like buying a concert tee. More for the memory (and a few dollars to App) as much as anything. But at $18 a shirt App is making a bit of money it would seem-and that is OK.

FYI, the five bowl game shirts I purchased from the ASU Bookstore arrived today in the mail. Those that also ordered from the bookstore should be on the look-out. Here is the link for those interested in sending some money to Boone, and have not ordered anything yet. https://bookstore.appstate.edu/p...

Here is a small challenge.
Start the year off right with a small donation to the Appalachian Foundation or the Yosef Club or even better; give to both.

Re: High Country weather
Finally had a chance to do Christmas with my mom and oldest daughter. For a variety of reasons we decided to meet in Boone. After dinner we went to downtown Blowing Rock. I don't know how much shopping was happening but the area was packed. I imagine some of these folks were there instead of on the ...

I do hope California is getting the rain they so badly need. This El Nino is screwing up the east coast.

You know you did a bad job when someone on here mentions Buzz in a good light in comparison. I just distinguish between Buzz the person and Buzz the coach. Can't imagine many found fault with his on-court results at App. But the most important question -"How was he as Buzz the roommate of Michael J...

How bad is this weather hurting the ski season economically? I know there is no skiing going on with these temps.
Are most of the employees at the ski lodges just laid off or are they getting pay?
