What???
They did not pick App for NY6 Cotton Bowl. This is a shame.
But don’t forget we only think about beating ETSU

I want us to beat UNC and USC and like Dabo Sweeney said after the CFP Championship game “Leave no doubt” who is the best team.

Re: Grading Football Recruiting from past years
You are correct and I totally agree that the overall team results speak to some level of truth (objective) vs incoming recruit ratings/rankings which are very subjective. There is no question App has proven that the collective recruiting classes we have enjoyed while in the SB is at or near the top ...

Re: 2019 would you rather
You start with the premise that we go 10-2. I know our goals are to win SBC and bowl. I have repeatedly stated our "additional" goals should now be make NY6 and win it. It is a guarantee that two losses will absolutely eliminate us from making the NY6, probably one loss therefore in your scenario we...

Presley, Bryant, Elder, etc were not even close to being in same league as Zac Thomas. All those examples are not comparable.

That looked sweet!!
That looked a bit like the TD Zac connected with Sutton in the NO Bowl game.

Re: Lance Ware to ASU
I will say I don't know anything about Lance other than what I have read and know he is an Appalachian Man. But, I will say you gotta be doing something right to win 5 state championships in the last 6 years. That is very impressive. It also sounds like the folks that do know him on this board give ...

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Here’s the deal Zac has proven to be a stud QB in his first year. We can only imagine his upside for the next 3 years. It isn’t like we now have some unknown at QB at this point. Drink & Co are going to try to exploit that to the maximum potential over the next few years. How could anybody think oth...

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Zac looked damn good this past year as a first year starter. I expect his 2nd year along with a known very good QB coach (Drink) mentoring him and calling a lot of plays that capitalize on Zac’s strengths we are going to see a high powered offense never seen in Boone. Zac would have to encounter a m...

Re: New Hire
I always supported Fox hire and still believe it made sense given all we knew at time. I had hoped he would be successful but it is clear now he isn’t getting it done and a change must occur. At the time of his extension I didn’t believe it was the right thing to do given his accomplishments and I s...

Re: Early 2019 S&P+ Rankings
Richt prepared Miami very well for our game. They played to our weakness Of inability to get our defensive plays in timely on an uptempo offense. Richt obviously saw that from past games and season under Woody. That was common problem then. They took advantage in a huge way and we did not adjust qui...

Re: Early 2019 S&P+ Rankings
Perceptions are definitely starting to change. Last year This same ranking had the SBC far behind both CUSA and the MAC. This year we are far ahead of both with CUSA positioned firmly in the rear. S&P is pure statistical. There is no perception factored into this ranking. And BTW we were #29 in the...

Re: Zac Thomas voted best QB in SBC for 2019
I want Baldwin to develop into a Stud QB too. Hopefully he will and time will tell. Both Huesman and Derrick have good skills. Both had an opportunity in a big time game with big time pressure to show what they could do with live fire and it didn’t fare so well. Maybe they can improve in the future ...

Re: Zac Thomas voted best QB in SBC for 2019
I want to know how any of you are convinced Baldwin has a bigger arm than Zac. I have seen ZT throw some ropes and he can definitely get it way down the field when needed. Baldwin's tape looked good so no knock on him but don't disrespect ZT's arm strength in this conversation. I did not see anythin...
