True. You would think the official health care provider of the mountaineers would love to have a name stuck on it for 25k+ people to see every Saturdaygoapps93 wrote:It has(and should have) corporate sponsorship written all over it. No need for a donation drive.

Re: Who had the best "unicorn game" for App FB?
Trey Elder coming off the bench against Furman in the '05 Semifinals. True. That was an awesome game and he played well. Trey would have had many "unicorn games" I think. But the greatest App in history came on the scene at the point when Trey would have taken over. Not that it was a mistake in any...

Re: Who had the best "unicorn game" for App FB?
Cadet at ECU comes to mind. He got plenty of opportunities throughout his career at App, but always seemed to fumble at the most inoppertune times, and danced around the field too much on runs.
Funny, he is one of our NFL players with more longevity

Re: NC Game
I was criticizing the clock management too, but it turned out to be perfect. Like most choices coaches make in sports, it's hero or zero. If they didn't get the TD, everyone would blame him for poor clock management, but now Swinney is a great coach and NC winner

Re: Yikes. It's Capel on TV
I dislike him as much as anyone, but he wasn't ready to be a head coach. He was appointed because he played at UNC, and that is impressive to some people. He actually was a good recruiter and got decent players to play here. His problem was not developing their talent, and not stressing education ne...

Re: G5 Playoff
I don't like the idea of a G5 playoff at all. As others have already stated (or implied), this would be the beginning of a new subdivision. It is exactly the mentality that created I-AA back in the late 70's. The assumption that this would close the gap in terms of revenue is a HUGE assumption and ...

Re: Interesting observation
The mistakes of 1 student athlete, vs. decades of systematic cheating that involves nearly all sports at an entire school is the difference.
Besides, Grayson Allen has already been punished more that UNC.

Does it depict the possible parking deck at stadium lot? It is a possible location, which would kill the looks of the stadium and tailgating atmosphere.

Re: Fake??
Some of you can never be happy. I started this thread directly after the play. Obviously I'm happy with the win, just don't understand not putting points on the board at that time. If we were down 4-6 points, at that time, I could understand trying the fake. Toledo would expect us to take the FG, r...

Play of the game?
A great game. Great offense vs defense. No turnovers, very few penalties. What was the turning point for app?
Rubino's go ahead FG?
Evans' return for TD?
Lamb's TD run?
D's 3 and out prior to the go ahead FG??

Re: Taylor Lamb
Let's also give Rubino his due. I was as frustrated as anyone early in the season, but as the season progressed, so did he. Kicked a 47 yarder at Troy, and was 4/4 PAT's today, and made what would become the game winner. Obviously it's not easy, as we saw from Toledo's kicker. Congrats to him, and f...

Re: Fake??
No problem with it. FG was far from certain with the wind. Don't think this thread would exist if it had worked (or if they'd thrown the PI flag). If anything I thought we should have gone for it on 4th and 1 the next time, but our kicker came through and theirs didn't, so it all worked out. Why?? ...
