Re: Gardner-Webb
It was a nice win. It may be "only" Gardner Webb, but they have impressive wins against UNC and Wake. Hopefully we can keep the bats warm and build on the win. Go Apps!

Great coach, ambassador for the university, and a class act.

Re: UTA fires MBB coach
Yeah, 27 wins per season average is pretty weak. Should have fired him last year.

Tubby Smith to High Point
Big South's High Point University about to land alum and former Kentucky coach, who was fired at Memphis although he won 21 games this season. I say nothing other than good for them.

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
Seriously? One of our best and most informative members of this board is a Carolina GRADUATE, and she is respected on this board because she handles her allegiances with CLASS. She doesn't come on this board to gush over her other school, or call fellow Mountaineer fans pathetic, worked up, or affli...

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
if one has allegiance to both App and UNC- CHeat, I wonder if he goes to the their message board and speaks proudly of our football conference championships and bowl victories? Just wondering.

Not a rival, but an in-state Division I program which can, and does compete against the UNC-Cheats in the athletic arena. Many of us "pathetic little brothers" attended other universities in addition to Appalachian State, but on this site, my YC Header states "Where Mountaineer Fans Give Their All f...

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
Reminds me of a couple weeks ago when I stopped at the Rock for some wings. I knew the UNC-CHeat/ Duke game would be on, but figured I could just ignore it, eat and leave. Then people deck out in light blue started coming in, and getting obnoxious (imagine that). When they began to chant Tar... Heel...

Yes Virginia, there is a UMBC. It's a good thing the ACC had 9 teams because they are dropping like flies.

Re: App and South Carolina Schedule Series
My son is a USC grad and he says their message boards are having a melt down. Oh well! That's predictable and to some degree understandable. Some fans think playing a strong mid-major has drawbacks, and a few are clueless loudmouths. One well informed Gamecock fan compared us to Wofford and SC Stat...

Re: 2018 Sun Belt Basketball Tournament
Would have loved to have gotten the win, but we played hard and lost to a better team. Although we'd all preferred winning 20 and advancing deep in the tournament, the team did in fact show improvement, if not consistency. Next season will be huge. Really pulling for Fox and the boys to break out. A...

Re: 2018 Sun Belt Basketball Tournament
Robert Ferringo is a member of the Basketball Writer's Association of America and is considered one of the best college basketball handicappers in the country. He's predicting UTA to upset UL and win the tournament. He writes: "So I will call for an upset and say that UT-Arlington, the most experien...

Started this thread in November and set the over/under at 14. Well, it took a March tournament victory, but the win goes to the OVERS! 15 and climbing.
