Re: App State Wiki-pedia page
We still have a lot of sports that are still competing for SoCon championships. Just because football already played it's last SoCon game does not mean that we are completely out. I just checked it and the main page and it is correct, it says: Conference(s) Southern Sun Belt (2014) Affiliations Univ...

Re: Charlotte Observer: Lutz is Leading Candidate
Lutz would retain Kummer thought, right? If he did, he would need to be fired for gross incompetence. Kummer was at the heart of alot of the problems during the Capel era. Know any details? I know details but can't say a lot. What I can say is from personally seeing the way he interacted with playe...

I liked that last choice. Darcie would whip them into shape. Great job. Or just put the final nail in the coffin of the program. She has said that she can not coach seniors - do we think that she could get the men back organized I understand it was a joke, but it has been brought up to many times.

"Houston was great at running a clean program and graduating good men, but his wins went 11,10,19,9,18,14,25,18,13. Fancher's problem wasn't that he couldn't produce a winner. It was that he couldn't do it consecutively and with a consistent upward trend. Or with the next to the worst budget in the...

Houston did this.Saint3333 wrote:Wins games and graduate players.
Looking for a coach that can win 10 games next year, 15 the next, 18 year three, 20 year four. Do this and get the APR above 940 and you will get an extension.
The Sun Belt only allows one D2 game a year.

That would be fine. A chance to prove that Charlotte was wrong to let him go and he will be ever grateful for the opportunity. He knows it could be his last. He could be the Jerry Moore of basketball. We don't need someone out to prove something. They generally are not the best builders. Moore was ...

Re: State of Appalachian athletics
"We're firing and hiring coaches creating hope but a lot of uncertainty." You seem to think there has been some wild, methodical, serial firing campaign at ASU. If so, I must have missed it. I've been following ASU sports for several decades; and in that time I can think of only four coaches who we...

This is part of the reason that we need a program builder and not someone that is looking for the quick turn around.

Re: What's next for The Moose, AppGrad78 and 24/7?
If I were in Charlie Cobb's shoes, beginning today I'd be away from Boone thru mid-week to pay a personal visit to Bobby Lutz and to Seth Greenberg to assess their interest in taking a new team into the SunBelt Conference. If Lutz shows interest, I'm going to arrange to have him on campus as soon a...

Re: Consolidation and Removal of Programs of Study
How were these fields chosen for eradication or consolidation? What were the criteria? I find it hard to believe that Appalachian is eliminating a masters in history education. Are we not supposed to be the college of teachers? Eliminating the masters of music education? Are we not one of the top m...

Win: Maybe a one/two year extension, but it would be a break point where both sides could save face.

Way to fight back tonight young men despite nine out of ten AppSt fans being the most negative "fans" I"ve ever seen! Despite how you may feel about the coach or how tough of a season it's been we still have young men fighting their tails off to earn this university victories! I haven't missed a Me...

http://www.soconsports.com/standings/Standings.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=4000&SPID=1798 App is still in that 9 seed. It's looking like overall record is used as the tiebreaker rather than head to head which I didn't know. If it were head to head, App would be ahead of Sammy in the 8 slot. Looking like App wi...
