Re: Justice, Gardner, Coltrane
The latest dorm is a replacement for all 3 dorms and is bigger than the others. Once it is open they will start taking down the older dorms and they will become surface lots.

Re: Athletic fees for general students
Our students pay a comparable percentage of the total cost of athletics as our cohort. Obviously, considering we've been nationally ranked for at least one week the past three football seasons it continues to be among the best in ROI in the NCAA. % of total revenue from student fees (https://sports...

Re: Athletic fees for general students
I still view it as a "the only reason your employer has ever heard of the school name on your resume unless they're an alum" fee. Then again, I'm heavily biased because I attended every single football game and quite a few bball games, so I never thought twice about it. People that actively and hea...

Re: Athletic fees for general students
These fees are approved by student elected representatives. If the current students don't want these fees, they need to press their elected representatives to change that. At App, at least the students get admission to all sporting events with this fee. At most schools, that is not the case. I unde...

Re: NEZ work today
Seems like this construction has taken WAY too long. Just an observation It was bungled from the word go. Remember that it took nearly 3 months before Owens was down after they claimed that it would start immediately after the season. There have been a few major changes to the buildings design and ...

Re: Furman cuts baseball and lacrosse
66 would know better than me but I think wrestling has enough support from their alumni to handle things. Major issue with wrestling, no summer camps this year. That will take a lot of money from their budget. How much of that money actually went in their budget. I have always heard there was summe...

In other news, the track team might have a new outdoor home in 2021, if athletics can be bothered after dealing with football.

Re: NCAA Votes to Allow Athletes to Cash in on their fame
I have to laugh at all the millions football and basket ball is making. Take out the student fees and get back to me about how many are left. A system supported by forced payments is not capitalism. Lets leave capitalism out of the discussion. How long will a system that profits the QB and leaves t...

Re: (Afternoon) Classes need to be canceled Thursday for GaSo
Not true. In 2017 against Southern Raley was open on the side closest to Rivers Street. The spaces were marked as Fac/Staff until 5 pm and then they were opened to festival parking for the game. Students could tailgate in that lot after 5 if they could find a space. It's the same rules as this year...

Re: (Afternoon) Classes need to be canceled Thursday for GaSo
My issue is that students aren't able to tailgate. My best memories from school are tailgating in Raley. Specifically night games. They shouldn't take that away from these students There hasn't been weekday student tailgating in at least 5 years. Not true. In 2017 against Southern Raley was open on...

Re: (Afternoon) Classes need to be canceled Thursday for GaSo
Short list of truths for all the back-patting wise men who keep pontificating about something that isn't even at issue at this point: -App State is an academic institution first and foremost. -Academics should be the number one priority. -Afternoon classes should have been cancelled for Thursday. -...
