YOSEF: 45

Definitely two different teams from when we went 66-0 on them in '14.

I would email the alumni office alumni@appstate.edu and let them know to try and get you updated.

Are the optics bad? Sure. But let the man make his choice to opt out.

Hopefully he'll stick around and make a showing for App.

Classic Burgers and Dogs on the grill. Grill up some corn-on-the-cob and potatoes with it.

Couldn’t find the post but how is the Miller hill regrade looking? Anyone have any pics? Is that still going to be “ready” for Saturday?

And no, I cannot just wait until Saturday to see it
They're putting in grass today.

Re: Watch Parties

I know most alumni chapters are not doing viewing parties, at least for September, because of restrictions at bars and such that would normally host us. But good luck to you!

Re: Why don’t we just play Western Carolina as our FCS game every year?

I would be in favor of a three year rotation of Western, ETSU, and Furman. Have it as the 2nd or 3rd game. Clemson does something similar with SC State, Furman, and The Citadel (SC in state FCS schools). So I wouldn't mind it for sure. But I do think we should avoid it. We should play western every...

Re: Season Record Prediction Thread

We really need to take care of Marshall and UNCC to keep the SBC greater than Conf-USA perception growing. We can lose to ULL or Ark St. and still win the conference. I think Georgia Southern at GS will be our toughest game. I do think we have the rep now that Marshall and UNCC will give it their a...

Re: Schedule

So beating the crap out of UNCC and having them beat UNC and Duke is probably our best shot at moving up in the rankings. Can you guys pull for UNCC? I have a hard time pulling for GaSo, even if it helps us. That what a rival will do to logical thinking. It makes one irrational. Pulling for UNCC wo...

Re: Biggest Football Heartbreak

Easy, Wake Forest 2017.
GS 2019 was just a crappy game, bad weather, bad performance, bad time.

I'd also like to submit Illinois State 2012, Coach Moore's last game... Another OT blocked field goal.

34-32 Day

This year more than ever, it's time to put our money where our mouth is. Today is a historic day in App State history. 34-32 Day means so much to me; as I'm sure it does to many of you. Take this opportunity to give back and "give your all for Appalachian State" The Black & Gold Podcast is raising m...

Re: Everts no confidence is approved

Anyone who knows what they're talking about...What's the next step here. Does Everts fight back? Does anything really happen as a result or is this vote just a formal "we don't like you"? As far as I've seen so far, just the formal "we don't like you". Everts definitely won't make any public statem...

Re: NEZ work today

i have more of an issue with the people that signed off on that silly multi-colored AppState design instead of just a one color App State or Appalachian State. We're trying to hard with that. Wondering if they liked the "Yosef's Cabin" forum header design so much they decided to copy it for the fie...

By not having the 4th floor and outdoor seating ready by 5 September, I wonder if the contractor lost an incentive $$$.
I'm positive they did. Especially on a large project like this with a hard deadline of (pre-COVID) football starting.

I don't believe all will stay another year either. I'm sure those with NFL prospects will have to weigh the option to move on or stay.

Re: COVID cluster connected to Football team

#1 This is a big issue: the safety of the student-athletes is a top priority to App. #2 However, other colleges are experiencing this same issue, we are not alone in this. Procedures are in place for frequent testing. Anyone who tests positive is moved to isolation, anyone negative moves on. It's th...
