Re: Elon Tickets
I should have two extras. I just responded to your private message. Are you working for the Yosef Club or something? If so, I'll make my donation through you. Thanks again. I do serve on the Yosef Club Advisory Board ... just a volunteer who loves App and am extraordinarily grateful for my ad...

Re: Mountaineer Football
I was listening to Colin Cowherd this afternoon as he described what makes a good coach. His assertion was that the best coaches could make changes at halftime and bring out a whole new game plan in the second half. He was speaking of Lane Kiffin and his inability to change the game plan against Was...

Re: Mountaineer Football
I loved watching Jamal be the first one on the field to congratulate Kam on the TD pass. Someone else alluded to his sulking on the sidelines. I didn't see that at all. These guys really do seem to pull together well. They all want to win. I want to see them win. I can't wait to drive to Elon to che...

The BOD
Looked like stronger numbers and sharp performance last night. I was glad to see the removal of James Taylor's "Carolina in my Mind" from the pre-game show, too. While I love that song, it has never seemed like an App song to me. Also liked the Jaws shark! Nice job of hanging onto traditional marchi...

Re: I hate to say it, but . . .
Last night we couldn't catch a break, we did recover one of 2 onside kicks :D And I believe if we had another 30 seconds to play we would have come away with a W. I think it's all close to coming together very nicely. Again IMO Have I seen areas of concern? Yes. Have I seen areas of irritatingly, f...

Re: parking for tomorrow.
Getting in that late you may have a little trouble. I usually recommend the Watauga Social Services lot. Follow Rivers St past the stadium. When it takes a hard left becoming Poplar Grove (?) bear right and enter the lot on the left (slightly uphill). I'm not sure how quickly the lot fills. There us...

Re: i had a good time in montana...
Hiker, great comparison. Prior to the game in Boone last year, my wife and I spent 3 days in Asheville and loved it, and we also compared it to Missoula. We're talking about summering in Missoula and wintering in Asheville when we retire. That wouldn't suck! We summer and winter in Asheville and hi...

While we're on the Twitter versus Not Twitter rapidly dying horse, it should be noted that it takes a few seconds to compose a tweet. Tweets cannot be lengthy in nature and do not lend themselves to the diatribes we see here. Twitter, Facebook, etc are all about how one connects with folks of a cert...

I'm not much in the habit of giving a flying flip about the opinions of others ... especially if I have no clue who they are or what they stand for. Early season football polls are a shining example of opinions I love to ignore.

Re: Coming back in from the ledge
A&T fan here and I certainly hope that last sentence doesn't hold true. Based on previous results I can understand the low expecatation but we've been steadily improving. Hopefully we can make this a somewhat competitive contest. :D Decks, I certainly hope App learns a great deal in the next severa...

But they didn't even have a track!
You're right on all counts. Fans were stellar, weather was good (a little warm for me but tolerable), local brews were tasty. Their stadium is definitely louder than KBS. All-in-all a great experience ... except for the score.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! I wish Saturday night's game was a "Germany bombing Pearl Harbor" moment. Since that never happened and all... Animal House reference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8lT1o0sDwI Oh my. It's been too long since I've seen that movie. N...
