Re: Recruiting, 2014
I think Penny Smith would have had a very similar path to that of Paul Magloire. I think he is a great athlete, but as a QB I don't see it. The release has a hitch in it and it seems long at that. I do think he could be a solid contributor elsewhere though. Compare the footwork and release of Carus...

Re: All-Time Reds team... CBS sports
Cincy: Morgan indeed did have a complete game, above average in all five phases. But he wasn't the defensive wizard that Phillips is. No one is. If I started a team tomorrow, who would I pick? Probably Morgan. But Phillips isn't far behind, and he's got another three good years to change my mind. I...

Just my opinion, but I gotta think Joe Morgan is hearing Brandon Phillips' footsteps.

Re: UNC-G @ AppState
Both Flomo and Worrell are intelligent enough to understand the fluid nature of our situation. There's been no indication from either that they plan to look elsewhere should Capel not be our head coach. They both seem eager to be a part of better days for the ASU basketball program.

...Yet, we sit there and watch others offer him and he would go to ASU if offered and willing to redshirt and pay his dues. I sometimes think if this kid had same stats from SC or Ga. we would be all over him and bragging we stole one from those two states. Not every kid we recruit will start and m...

Re: Recruiting, 2014
Everybody has a local favorite that could/should get an offer from ASU. I suggested the LAST staff to look at two kids during their sophmore years : Mark Harrell and Elijah Hood. You could tell they were going to be special. But then again I have local blinders on. Turned out they were special thou...

large enough home crowds to support a meaningful financial guarantee. Winning takes care of both. Fan support should be in full force regardless of record. Fan support is a critical component. And it goes beyond showing up for home games and contributing to the Yosef Club. We fans owe it to our sch...

Re: Capel: Struggle to get D-I teams to campus
For programs like us, scheduling has everything to do with winning. To produce a quality out-of-conference home schedule, we need 1) an RPI of 150 or better so that opponents aren't penalized by playing us, and 2) large enough home crowds to support a meaningful financial guarantee. Winning takes ca...

Re: Recruiting, 2014
They need to offer Sam Blue right now. He is the steal of the NC recruiting class for who ever gets him. He set the NC HS Football record for sacks this year. Had 19 sacks and 17 was old record. I think he scored 5 touchdowns off of those sacks. He was named All East Region, All Conference CAP8 and...

Thanks, but some of the computer software mentioned in the job description is just a wee bit beyond my expertise. We'll get some good candidates, though.

Re: 2014: What are you excited about?
Our offensive line gave up 20 sacks this season. That put us 41st in all of FCS. The line also played a significant role in Marcus Cox's 1,000-yard season. While there were times when the line could have played to a higher standard (the QB hurry of Kam Bryant late in the Chattanooga game comes to mi...
