In the 2nd half, Germany had a direct kick just outside the box. Spain set up the defensive wall and had one player lie down at the feet of those in the wall. I’ve never seen that before. Q: What is the strategy there?

Now that was an exciting match! - action all over the field, many attempts at goal, some turned back and some blown chances, goalies handling the ball right in front of the goal (dangerous?) and both teams had a very good chance to score in the waning moments. That was fun to watch.

Japan and Belgium go down. Germany and Spain should be a great match.

I like our chances vs Iran. Still seems that Brail, France and Spain are a little better than everybody else.

All the USA needs to do is beat Iran to get in the knockout phase. But it would be nice to tie or beat the hooligans, though that seems unlikely.

The best team after one game for all teams appears to be Brazil.

I watched the Bellarmine game. Bellarmine has quite a few shooters and played as enthused and hard as they could and then held on at the end. Louisville has athletes but looked confused at times, particularly on the defensive end.
