Re: Student Fees
And that's the point. Athletics and academics should have never been this intertwined. We are charging students 2k+ over 4 years for something they don't use without giving anyone an opt out choice.

Re: Student Fees
The average student never steps foot in any sports arena. This is an App athletics fan board so the bias is pretty heavy, but fees just "tax" the vast group that cares nothing for athletics. If the fees go to support the student union, library, or other campus amenities then that is fine as 90%+ of ...

Re: Student Fees
Ours was over 700 last I saw and if $700 is a non event for you then count yourself lucky. Add that up over the years a student is there and it's much more than a non event.

Re: Student Fees
I think athletics and academics should be completely separate entities and student fees shouldn't exist.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Seats on the hill. Lets just do it already and stop piddleing with dropping millions and rearranging what we already have. Seats on the hill and make it a real stadium. The hill could have its own tower with stupidly expensive box seats selling a view of the knob and field.

Re: Job openings
That's because they haven't had a coach with a winning career conference record since Valvano. Like I said, someone has to use it to win which is possible.

Re: Job openings
Izzo has been passed by at this point. He needs to retire like K, boeheim, and that generation. Even though Calipari has had some nice he hasn't had a chip since 11-12 even with all that talent. That Michigan job is a great one to pick up. NC state is a better job then you might think. A lot of coac...

Re: NIT
According to this tracker site we have a 0% chance. I'm not going to hold my breath on the ncaa tourney.
At this point I'm only focused on us getting in the NIT and getting 30 wins.

Re: TIGMA NIL
And the new norm reveals itself. Whore yourself out on social media so teams will buy you for your followers. Pretty sure Black Mirror did an episode about this. OnlyFans@Apppstate. NIL is going to become a worse underhanded mess than when players were paid under the table. I am all for players gett...

Re: TIGMA NIL
I would see smaller schools dropping football and all its expenses before they drop their entire athletic program outside of it.

Re: TIGMA NIL
What does this mean for the other collective? Does it still exist? Are there competing collectives now? Both exist…serving different approaches and donor types. Gotcha. That seems... inefficient? But I don't have any money to give anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me. Whatever discretionary fu...

Re: TIGMA NIL
I know this is more of a terrible coincidence than anything, but after the most painful basketball loss in a generation, the next App State Athletics thing I see is "open up those wallets App fans!" Open the wallet or open the cheeks. Welcome to modern college athletics. https://media4.giphy.com/me...

Re: 1-AA 2.0
Our fan base doesn’t support the Yosef Club . We are fortunate to perform at the level we do. My opinion. Yup. I figure most of the NIL money we get will be from businesses looking to do actual advertisements to drum up business instead of individuals looking to donate to general NIL funds. A numbe...

I'll keep saying it. Win the conference tournament, that is all that matters. NET only matters for P4 conferences who are given legit shots for at large bids.

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
Free throws and rebounds......basically even in every other regard. 69% FT. Such a broken record point to end such an amazing season. This one hurts. Pretty deflated. Gregory is a senior. Coach has shown us the way to build the stairs, now we've got to find what it takes to climb the final steps. Ne...

Re: NIL college tourney. Winners split 1 mil.
At least in the NFL there is a cap, structure and public knowledge of where the money goes. How much is not enough in college? Does an 18-23 year old playing college football really need 6 figures? How much effort are these guys putting into the academic side? A majority of these young people have ...

NIL college tourney. Winners split 1 mil.
So now we will get money ties to winning games. I'm sure this will eliminate any and all cheating keeping intact college integrity.
