Re: Depth Chart
When I say this I don’t any way mean to disparage the P5 transfers one bit and I hope they are good enough to contribute this year but I firmly believe that we are a legit top 35 (at least) program with legit talent and depth. I really think that after the top level P5 guys at the top programs the r...

Re: CFP Expansion- Not So Fast
I’m glad that someone raised the question/observation regarding the P5 conferences. When exactly did those conferences get officially branded as P5 and when exactly did the G5’s get classified as such? What governing body decided this? Did ESPN make this determination? I’ve said it many times that p...

Re: ESPN article 2021 CFB tiers
Brice doesn’t have to outplay any other QB. They don’t have skills competitions. Brice (or any App QB) needs to outplay the other team’s defense. I totally get the basic notion of QB v QB but it’s still stupid.

Re: 247 Sports Bold Predictions
There are obviously some dog P5 teams every season and many are dogs every year. Do we want any home and home with crap teams like Kansas? Even SC beat Georgia a couple of years ago and UNC still wasn’t horrible. I’m sure we could schedule out a few years to play Vandy, Kansas, Rutgers, etc but do w...

Re: QB
I totally get the comparison thing that guys always want to do but personally I don’t do that. I’d rather consider a player for what he is and rate his skill level. Have we had a guy of this size with the ability to make throws on the money both to the sidelines and 50 yards downfield (on the money)...

35-40k would be a pretty awesome crowd considering it’s a Thursday night. Play this game at 7:00 on a Saturday and it’s 50k easily.

Re: CFN prediction ECU vs ASU
The guy gave it a shot but truth be told it’s ridiculous to even predict anything. Nobody knows how good or bad either team really is nor do they know how the teams will stack up. If Alabama was opening against WCU that’s a little more predictable.

Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
Surgical masks are rated to protect against airborne particles 2.5 micrometers and larger, while N95 protect against 1 micrometers and up. Respirator masks worn by firefighters and automotive painters are rated for as small as 0.1 micrometers. Coronavirus is 0.006 micrometers. But if it makes you f...

Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
Get a vaccine, get a booster, wear two masks (even while driving your car by yourself with the windows up) wear one of those face shields, gloves, stay home forever, stop living your life and otherwise approach folks with abject fear. I’m vaccinated and have zero problems being asked for my proof an...

Re: USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll - App #48
I have always been one who has never worried or given much thought about any preseason poll for football or basketball. Of course for App football polls are obviously the ones where we are most likely to land at some point. After seeing the AP poll a question strikes me- Are we as App fans crazy or ...

Um is Castle going to possibly be an X factor this year? Seems to run really hard. I’ve always wished we had a few bruising type guys who can wear down a defense with 4 yard carries..repeatedly

Re: So much for scholarship limits
Help me understand exactly what the definition of a walk-on is. Doesn’t it basically mean that the school you are attending has deemed that you really aren’t good enough to merit a scholarship but could maybe earn one? If you are good enough to play at that level perhaps you could have earned a scho...

Re: USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll - App #48
I kind of think it’s not bad being where we are. We have 3 opponents currently ranked above us. Obviously after we beat Miami we jump big time. We just need Coastal and La to keep climbing until we play. Can’t get added respect by beating dogs ranked way below us. Just win baby

We ate at the Pig on 105 Sunday. Had the brisket sandwich. I’ve never had one with thick slabs of brisket before. It was ok. I had loved Woodlands since I was at App over 30 years ago and it was my go to place whenever I came up and could work it in. My wife and I would split the Pig Out. I’ll have ...

Re: College Football News App State Preview
Mentioned on another thread that we moved a son in yesterday (that in itself is great) but on Sunday we stopped at the top of the hill and watched the last little bit of practice- before some guy yelled at us to “read the signs “. At any rate, for what it’s worth we did see Chase throw 3 balls, unde...

Re: How does ECU look?
Moving son in tomorrow so we walked around a bit today. We parked at the top of the hill and caught the last few minutes of practice- before some guy yelled at us to read the signs. No idea what the drill was but we saw Brice drop at least 3 dimes all about 50 yards under pressure. I’m just going to...

How on earth do you have a legit event where you are given a random horse to ride (and do stunts with) but said horse refuses to cooperate? This is an Olympic event?

Is there any intel on true freshmen? Any of them raising eyebrows or turning heads? How about Sutton’s brother Coen?
I was just looking down the roster and we have some big offensive linemen (tall)
