Re: Updated Bowl Projections
Personally, I don't really see a difference in "prestige" of any of the bowls tied to the Sun Belt. Sure, NOLA chooses first but, so what? I think it's more important to go somewhere that (first) the players will enjoy and feel rewarded and (second) that the fans will be able to go to and enjoy the ...

It was great for the players and you've gotta believe that Fox went to sleep last night with a big smile on his face beating his mentor after all the struggles he's gone through. Great job Mr. Fox!

Saw that Evans is practicing without green jersey now. At least that helps for next year. Evans is redshirting this year but now practicing according to this article in the WSJ: http://www.journalnow.com/townnews/sport/app-trail-quick-slants-on-wide-receivers-darrynton-evans-shaedon/article_945e2ec...

Sims On Hendricks Award Watch List
Sims' 9.5 sacks this season rank seventh nationally and second in the Sun Belt Conference.
Way to go Sims! Let's add to these totals these next two Saturdays and lock in another championship!

Re: Seriously-Pant for Panthers?
does that count towards attendance? LOL Well...the dogs are required to have a $10 ticket...so maybe there'll be 2 sets of attendance stats kept. Humans and dogs...so which category would their cheerleaders fit in? LOL...sorry that was just too easy. I'll bet they're gonna play "Who let the dogs ou...

Re: App vs Iowa St
I'm actually encouraged by last night's performance. A 6 point loss to a Big 12 opponent when it's your first game against a D1 team. My expectation was that we'd lose by like 20 or 30 but we were in the game late challenging for the win. Also, ISU didn't have some key players in their first 2 games...

Re: North End Zone Project Gets Green Light
Their position is we need more season ticket holders to help pay for the expansion. If the money is already we aren't as dependent on future cash flows from ticket sales. I applaud them being fiscally responsible, something that is rare in college athletics. Hopefully they will continue to be succe...

Re: North End Zone Project Gets Green Light
Guys, pretty simple, if we had the money we'd seat 30k with the next expansion. Do you know that or are you just assuming? There are opinions on this board that seat expansion shouldn't happen until most games are sold out or at least close to it, and that's in addition to packing in 5 to 10K on th...

Re: North End Zone Project Gets Green Light
We've debated this time and again but, here's my point of view. Assuming that funding of some kind can be reasonably obtained I believe we need to add at least 5 to 6K outdoor seats in addition the 1K club or luxury seats mentioned. I think we need to be at, or just over 30K, in permanent seats with...

GA. State viewing and Davidson B'ball game
So, I'm thinking of going to the Davidson game Saturday night the 25th but the football game is at 2:00 on ESPN3 and the basketball game starts at 7:00. Where's a good place that will have the football game on (for sure) if I go up early. I'm about 2 hours from Boone so it's tight watching the footb...

Re: Future schedules
Aren't UNC and ECU both coming to Boone in the near future? And Wake just made the trip. If true, NC State is late to the table. To be fair, what do any of them have to gain for coming to Boone? Low travel costs? Good point. Scheduling us does not help their recruiting, and we don't represent a fin...

Re: Future schedules
It's funny that their fans are complaining about our stadium, but we all know we would have at least 35,000 in the stadium if it happens. Just looking at the past 3 seasons, they have played in front of less than 35,000 on 6 occasions with a 7th time coming up at Wake this week. So stadium/crowd si...

Re: TIGMA Award -- Bowl Eligible, and stink has to watch
Haven't watched the recorded game yet, but from my seat it looked to me like all 3 phases played extremely well Thursday night. ALSO, as mentioned earlier, the students showed up and were totally engaged and it felt good to have a good crowd although some in my section were hunkered down due to the ...

Re: Oh Ye - Of So Little Faith ---
The team and coaches fully believed in 11-1 and a possibility of the peach bowl. I fully believe that’s way the Wake loss took so much out of this team. Now with the Ark St loss I’m hopeful we get healthy and hungrier to come out strong in two weeks. I think the long break will help the team heal a...

Re: Big $$ Announcement Coming
Geez Guys, some of these comments are over the top unreal? I certainly hope Mark Ricks isn't reading the way his generosity is being spun among some of his Yosef's kinfolks. It's downright disparaging and disrespectful. We're better than this. How about showing it! And what about any other deep poc...

Re: Bowl Projections ESPN
Speaking of Disney World, in Dec of 2007 we were down there during the national championship game weekend. We had booked the trip so far in advance I wasn't even thinking about football yet, so poor planning on my part. At any rate, the day after the game we were at one of those character meals and ...

It's Gameday folks! I'm sure most plans are made, but if you are still on the fence, come on out and support the black and gold. Remember: 1) It's APP STATE FOOTBALL 2) It's Stink- our biggest current rival 3) It's our chance to stay in the Conference title race 4) It's our chance to secure a bowl ...

Re: Bowl Projections ESPN
Disneyworld is great the first 100 times. My wife makes us get annual passes. Disney Spring (Downtown Disney) is much improved. LOL, you're right. I was trying to get my family to hold off for another Disney trip until the new Star Wars Land is open in 2019 but the Force is stronger with them so......
