Re: Could North Carolina support a MLB team?
Given that Miami just built a brand new park, I don't see them moving.

Re: DIVISION 4?
While i understand your point, I do disagree with one premise. The players are getting a tremendous "opportunity" for a large ROI. These young men,and women, receive upwards of $100,000.00 in free education. Not to mention food, clothing and the resources to make them better at their sport. They ar...

Re: DIVISION 4?
With all do respect, I do not see it a disproportional ROI or a disconnect. It is "life". Life is not always fair.

Re: The Michigan Game
I agree that many fans and alumni will be very anxious to erase the loss a few years ago. We got so much press over that win everyone who follows college football remembers that UPSET. they will be ready and I also agree that the foot will not get off the gas if they get out to a good lead......let...

Re: DIVISION 4?
The problem isn't that we need to play players, the problem is that we are paying bowl directors $800k a year, coaches $5M a year, and charging fans $75 for tickets. People are focusing on wrong issues if they are trying to "fix" college football. That is absolutely correct. Way too many people thi...

Re: DIVISION 4?
I'm not a lawyer but there seems to be a lot of pitfalls to this divorce. If the schools pay players, will they be contract employees? Would they need work comp insurance? If you release a player from his scholarship do you have to pay the balance of the scholarship or unemployment claims? Will they...

Re: Crespo Promoted to Triple-A
I take it that your brother is Brian. I saw him pitch in high school a couple of time. He was unhittable back in high school and that's the key. Scouts make decisions based of what they see as potential, but no one knows how they will do until they face live hitters on a given level.

Here is a question for all of those who find sacrilege with App alums liking other teams. How do you feel about an alumni of another school being a fan and donor of ASU?

The judge needs to get laid. She asked him to thank his attorney and apparently he did not do in the way she wanted him too.

Re: Say it ain't so, RoyBoy
The way I see it, we are competing with all the ACC schools. App may not play them as much as we'd like but when it comes to fan support and even financial support from our own alumni base, we most certainly compete with UNC and NCSU. In my opinion, wearing another school's colors instead of repres...

It's impossible to serve two masters. I went to ASU. I give my money to the Yosef Club and the Appalachian Fund. I never missed a game at KBS or Varsity Gym for a televised game featuring the Tar HEELS. Why can't people just respect the decisions of others and agree to disagree? You sure you have b...

I also root for LSU and UCLA ( the one in California). I have my own rooting interest for all of them. How does that make me less loyal to my alma mater?

Being a fan and having a loyalty are two different things. Do I root for Carolina? Yes, except when they play ASU in anything. Thanks for proving my point that people see and read what they want to believe.

Re: Say it ain't so, RoyBoy
You are not talking about me. My loyalties for sports teams go in this order. 1. Any team wearing the black and gold. 2. There isn't a two because I didn't go to any other school. Do I root for other teams in certain situations, yes. Do I admire other school's teams. Sure. I can understand your feel...
