Re: 2024 Spring Ball
NIL is intended to help these kids monetize their brand. Todays social media platforms create a whole new avenue to earn money than slinging burgers at the only two story Wendy’s in the country. If your sole initiative is to spend NIL money to secure wins for foootball and basketball then you are d...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
It would be nice if they get some athletes from other sports out there as well. The NIl isn’t just for the revenue sports. For true NIL and not pay to play I think NIL is about getting a return on your investment. That to me means they draw a lot of people to games, have a big social media followin...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
Next Saturday’s practice, the last one of the spring is open to spectators as part of the TIGMA NIL event. I understand there are opportunities to interact with players post practice and that there are some nice giveaways. It would be nice if they get some athletes from other sports out there as we...

Re: NIT
With all due respect Fan1, that’s exactly what it means, so you think it’s 0%…. fine I’ve said 5-10%…. who cares….. I would certainly agree that if we had won and played a close game with the Dukes, we’d have a stronger case. I also said our chances are significantly better getting in the NIT….. bu...

Re: Job openings
Ughhhh… Wouldn’t be surprised to see NC State open up either. **Starts prayer circle to keep Kerns** GO APPS!! It will be interesting to see who they would go after. It feels like NC State fans will want someone with a bigger name and I hope they do. Could they perhaps target someone like Jay Wrigh...

Re: NIT
Ok instead of starting a new topic, the NCAA selection committee, about an hour ago selected 19 schools that were voted into the field on first ballot and 42 teams and all regular season champs were put into the “under consideration” category. Now the committee will go through a series of ballots u...

Really hope Huntley changes his mind and returns for a potential NCAA run. And keeping the rest of the guys. If we can do that, watch out. Hoping so as well. We could be real good without him but if he returns then we would be a strong favorite to win the title next year. Arkansas State loses Field...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
In all games we fall to 5th behind So Miss. Sorry, didn't see the previous post before I posted. Keep in mind outside of the Auburn game until this team went on a roll didn't our crowds increase. Early season they were pretty typical App basketball crowds. Over our last six home games we averaged 5...

Conference Only games: ODU 5975 JMU 5411 Marshall 4809 App 4579 Just based on the crowds I saw on TV I would have guessed the order was JMU, App and then ODU and Marshall just behind us. I would be curious to see the numbers on the entire season. In all games we fall to 5th behind So Miss. Sorry, d...

Re: NIT
That is what I was referring to. I don't see how we get left out of the NIT. I just hope this team is focused and makes a deep run to start the momentum for next year and send Gregory out with a strong postseason.Woodstovegang wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:26 pm100% in NIT. Re: NIT
I’d say there is a 5-10% chance with the big dance…… I do think it’s much more likely, say 50% chance of NIT bid….. I think the all time lowest (or highest) NET to get an at large was 76……… not likely but I’ll still watch. If App doesn't get into the NIT somehow then something is wrong with the sel...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
Marshall and ODU draw well. And let’s not kid ourselves, we are in no position to judge attendance of other schools in basketball. A couple good home gates doesn’t erase years of poor attendance numbers. That is why I said this year because we have been bad for a long time prior. I know they both h...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
Birmingham is more central than Atlanta. But it doesn't really matter. Sun Belt schools don't really attend their own home games. The tournament would, probably, have had the same attendance if it were held in LA. True. JMU and App are about the 2 best home attendance this year for their basketball...

Re: TIGMA NIL
You can’t discount the other athletes in your programs. The focus is on football, but there are more non football athletes that need to considered as well. If they draw money then sure thing. Clark at Iowa is huge for them and women's basketball so she should be considered. There is a softball play...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis
I see that Lunardi has JMU as a 11th seed. I'm not rooting for JMU as I don't really think their success ultimately helps the Sunbelt at all. If they make the Sweet 16 and lose they will be forgotten come next season. It's really all about the power conferences and each year the cute stories of the...

Personally, I think ATL is best option..so many flight options. You do not have to play in Hawks arena or ga state. There are other arenas in that city Need to make it easy as possible for flights. Not sure Gville has as many. I checked on flights from BWI to Pensacola in case I flew down for final...
