Re: At what point do the Red Shirts begin to play?

I believe the biggest is Jalin Moore. The biggest worry I have with RP is the lack of a real "bull" on the short yardage plays. Williams is coming along but like to have a go to big guy for those plays. I am thinking Peoples could fill that role. A real bull would be ideal but what I saw in last se...

Re: At what point do the Red Shirts begin to play?

Which injuries are you referencing, Jalin Moore or Zac Thomas? Beyond those I don't know of any other key injuries that causes a spot needed by a RS. On RB role, Evans had 159 yds (5.9 per carry), Williams had 103 yds (5.4 per carry) against CCU. Hard to sit either of these guys with that performanc...

Re: Yikes

FYI
Penn state was playing with a hurt McSorley part of game and his backup the rest of game.

Michigan also wanted payback for PSU rout from last year.

Paybacks suck especially when your team is not close to 100%. We know from last week.

I am sorry. I guess it is not toxic, since the AP said it is not.

Re: Maryland job

I certainly don't want Satt to go but it seems to me he's exactly the kind of coach Maryland needs in their situation. He'd right that ship...but please don't go. The HC can only do some much. Maryland's problems are far broader than what the football HC can fix and require the administration and s...

Re: Enough! Lets Go 'Neers Baby!!

Let's MOVE ON folks.

Time to put a beat down on The Chants/Cleer's, our next opponent. I have a feeling Southern is going to snub their toe. Let's get healthy and take care of business.

That article basically sums it all up. All you can do now is find a way to win out and hope for some help. Stay focused.

Re: Back down to earth

I think we weren't as good or as deep as we thought we were but not as bad as we played Thursday night. After a handful of games against weak competition some had declared our second team could win the Belt and that this was the greatest App team ever. I agree with a lot of what you said but I don'...

Our future is bright. Let’s not forget the past but focus on the path ahead. We are young and this will battle harden our team in the future.

Re: Back down to earth

I noticed that 11 of top 25 teams lost this week. 8 were agaiansnt unranked opponents. Some lost as bad or worse than App by score. Most of them did not lose their starting QB. We also previously lost or top Probably NFL bound RB. We got beat and many factors led to the ultimate beat down but injuri...

Re: Streaming Services question

I am a Directv long timer and love it for most part. Most of my normal programming I DVR it and watch later. I do Fire Stick for most streaming with Prime, Hulu and ESPN+, basically anything I don't use DTV for. Also have a ROKU that I used to use for ESPN prior to ESPN+ this year but basically watc...

Re: Conf USA or American Athletic

Our only upward mobility path is AAC or higher.

Any combined restructuring of SB and CUSA is lateral. It does help with reduction of costs, which is positive but doesn't improve our level of standing in the overall FBS pecking order.

IMO

Re: Great article Ethan Joyce WSJ--Chat with Coach Moore

It is good to see Moore enjoy the success of the current program. He was a foundation to the current program and Satterfield is his guy. We keep saying we are on an upward journey. Moore built it for 24 yrs and now Satt is taking it to the next level. We still have a lot more success to enjoy as we ...

Re: Top 25 Swag

Why are these still our three main goals for 2017 ? I was thinking those were the controllable goals for 2018 and the ones Coach Satterfield mentions when asked about team goals. Didn't the 2017 season end with a 34 - 0 Dollar General Bowl win? Don't get me wrong, we still have to take care of busi...

Re: Is being ranked bigger than.....

IMO, this is a milestone in our evolution. We need to start living in the top 25. We moved up to FBS, we established ourselves as a top G5 program by winning SB and winning against other peer G5 programs. We are making noise at national level showing we are competitive against top 25 teams. Once we ...

Re: Top 25 Swag

Hope not. Let's not act overly shocked or giddy. If it gets in the head of the players, we could be unranked before the t-shirt arrives in the mail. Agreed! Our team has worked very hard to get to #25, but I doubt that's been one of the goals for the year. The three main goals - win the Sun Belt ea...

Re: ESPN Article- App State New Year 6 Bowl

Why are so many people/fans on this board so afraid to enjoy the moment (Whoa! We are WAY ahead of ourselves, only focus on this week, etc)? Whatever we discuss over a beer or on this board should not change the outcome of any game on our schedule. Maybe you guys are still wearing your same underwea...

Re: Top 25?

Why do we want to be in the top 25? What kind of question is that? The reason you play the game and support your school is because you want to be the best. That is what makes it fun. It ain’t no fun living at the bottom. Plus, being on top means more money for the program, more national attention an...
