The West Gate seems nearly done. It seems to open at an odd angle. I haven't seen the gate designed this way in any of the renderings.

Re: Ticket Allocation: App vs Ark St
Will the Governor's arbitrary and capricious 7% still be in play? Will he decide that 4 1/2% is a better limit? Will he allow 50% attendance? Athletics can't make decisions until the Governor tosses out the next edict or two. Never thought I'd see Daphne cut loose! Tell us how you really feel...

Re: NEZ work today
With the columns finished, the last of that bright teal color is gone. Looks like they're starting to build the "tables" folks will sit at in the middle section. I hope they can clean up the field-level area before our next game (whenever that is), and get those big dumpsters/construction vehicles a...

Re: NEZ work today
Only 1 more column needs to be bricked, then it looks like the brickwork will be finished!
Meanwhile, I see a pair of mini "gatehouses" being built in the courtyard. I bet those will form part of the new West Gate.

The Walker College of Business has a unique 1-year MBA program. I would encourage all our seniors to consider that graduate program should they wish to stay and play again in 2021.

New Football Uniforms
Looks like Nike tweaked the design this season. Bigger numbers, no more shoulder stripes, and a new gold trim around the shoulders.

Re: NEZ work today
Soooo...anyone know if they are going to swap out all the white block-A's for black ones? We have white A's on the sides of the press facility, atop the scoreboard, and probably in other various places like entrances and around the concourse. I don't see why they would. The white Block A is still a...

Re: Everts vote of confidence
Reading this has me thinking of all the great young Black men and women that have worn the Black and Gold over the years. We should ensure our campus is a place that people of all backgrounds feel welcomed and cared for. Not just as athletes, but as people. They represent us with excellence on the f...

Re: ESPN+ Most Important Games for Top 25
As we've discussed ad nauseam, no G5 outside the AAC or Boise has a prayer at the 4-team Playoff. Thankfully, we still have several important goals to achieve as a program before setting our sights on the college football playoff: --Winning a New Years Six Bowl -- Beating a ranked team (still haven'...

Re: NEZ Update Query
I'm sure renovating the lower bowl will be a high-dollar project somewhere down the road. Hopefully by then our attendance numbers justify a "horseshoe" expansion in the lower bowl.

Re: NEZ Update Query
I do like the idea that was proposed (not mine but I'll repeat it) to extend the upper deck of the East Stands down to the field. That would move the stands closer to the field, and of course the field would have to shift over . It would also make the sides more symmetrical so that connecting them ...

Re: NEZ Update Query
Now that the track is being taken up, I hope we're able to use the space for more seating before too long. I imagine that is at least 9 or 10 years down the road now though since the turf is being replaced in the same position. Around 2030, I'm hoping for a lower-bowl renovation/expansion ––Fully-c...

Re: Is the Yosef Club Room going to be in the new North Endzone?
I assume Athletics will use this season to figure out the logistics of kicking non-NEZ Yosef Club members out of the NEZ space prior to kickoff.
That's the only reason I can think they wouldn't have Yosef Club hospitality there starting immediately (unless capacity or social distancing is an issue).

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
I think the yosef logo, as much as many of us old heads like it, is going to go back into the basement. Although it has never carried a negative association, I think many athletic departments are going to start phasing out old mascots such as this, if for no other reason than wokeness. I don't thin...

It's hard to believe that someone who spends so much time on this board can be oblivious to: A. The spelling of our AD's name; and B. The fact that the old WHS "App 105" track and field complex has already been planned and renderings have been available for months. He keeps finding new ways to surpr...

I'd like to hit Boca Raton, Cure Bowl, and Myrtle Beach once each.
Long-term, we need bowl tie-ins in:
––Charlotte
––Atlanta
––D.C.
––Charleston SC.

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports
https://imgur.com/bCPpKDN This is the most realistic possible realignment I've seen. Obviously in this scenario we would require a protected annual game with Georgia Southern. Some I did some quick math on traveling distances: Our current average travel distance in the SBC East division is 343 miles...
