Re: Corey Sutton - Opting Out

Jamie Newman Opts out at UGA. If anyone thought Corey may want to go to a P5 to improve his position you may want to look at this article. Newman was a shoe-in to start at UGA and decided not to play out, even at a prime SEC school. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29795338/sources-...

Hope that UL beats Iowa St. That will give them cred and put something on our schedule to help our SOS.

Re: Austin Peay v Central Arkansas

I tuned in for a few minutes to see what it looked like. Very sloppy QB play. Reminds me why we wanted to play in top tier.

Re: Looks like many are waking up to the truth of who is the best football team in NC---

John Currie, Wake AD, calling Gillin, “this is Wake Forest AD, about our reservation to play App State on Sept 11, I would like to CANCEL our game.” Doug responds, “that is very unfortunate, is there any way we can accommodate your team on another date this season?” Currie says, “No, I don’t think i...

Re: Looks like many are waking up to the truth of who is the best football team in NC---

I guess Wake's avoiding playing App this year put a fork in their argument of being best in NC. It would have been easy for them to prove their point on the field and not in social media. We know the decision to play App was completely in Wake's hands.......

and they decided not to play.

Re: AP Preseason Poll is out

This banter between you guys has run out of steam. I will say that I really wouldn't hold App up as a champ if it is only supported by one guy and his formula when the majority consensus has another team as the champ. It just doesn't have any juice. I think the argument that UCF was undefeated and d...

Re: New Years Day bowl!!

Outback with LSU, we better put our big boy pants on for that one but I will be there baby! Dang right. And just imagine all those B1G and PAC-12 fans sitting in their living rooms on New Years Day watching App State football on the big screen, wishing their team was there. That’s the truth for me....

Re: NC State shutting down residence halls

Yep! My daughter is a freshman down there. Just texted me to come pick her up off the side of the road with her belongings in a trash bag since they just got kicked out. Youngest is freshman in high school already in online school. Am I missing something? 1000 people in the hospital with it in a st...

Re: Apparent racial slurs at WCU lead to football boycott

Athletes have leverage and they know it. For the most part it does push administrations to take action that historically would have been ignored. I am sure WCU football is swimming in cash, especially with two games on their calendar this fall. It drives their whole university P/L. Im speaking in g...

Re: Apparent racial slurs at WCU lead to football boycott

When there are incidents that occur (assuming for moment that all this is true) the action by the players should be smart and make a point without shooting themselves in the foot or harming the wrong group. For example, some folks in their same school do something stupid, ok, then what is their reac...

Re: AP Preseason Poll is out

Does anybody think the eventual champion whether it be Clemson, Alabama, or anybody else will give a rip that B1G or PAC-12 didn’t show up at the party this year? Heck no! We should’ve been ranked in top 25 based on last year and our returning team even with full FBS teams. We got shafted. I will no...

Re: AP Preseason Poll is out

Here my question to all. If App State won the CFP Championship this year, would any of us complain because the Big 10 decided to stay home and not compete against us? I know I would not. Wisconsin would have had their chance at the champ and it would be their choice along with their conference mates...
