Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
I was just listening to Colin Cowherd's podcast from Friday and he was fascinated by the scope of it and the fact that the NCAA essentially did nothing after their investigation. I'm like most in the fact that I'll believe there will be sufficient punishment when I see it. If this isn't death penal...

Re: IT'S WAKE FOREST.... 2017
Now, of course, I don't agree with my buddy 91 when it comes to the coaches, but I do understand what he is saying about WF - Yes everyone, including 91 and myself, is happy to have the home and home with WF but he is also correct that WF is at the absolute bottom of the P5 teams - THOSE ARE 2 SEPER...

Re: Quick Injury?
From St. Louis Post-Dispatch ---
"Early in the second quarter — just two plays apart — the Rams lost wide receiver Brian Quick (arm) and right guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder) to injuries. Quick’s left arm was in a sling after the game; he said he didn’t know the extent of the injury."

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
From the N&O --- "This is where the report becomes troublesome. The public is asked to believe that this abuse occurred without the knowledge of coaches who are or were the keepers of the university’s most precious athletic asset, its men’s basketball program. The proposition is that a succession of...

Re: IT'S WAKE FOREST.... 2017
You are The Man - Moose --- Back a couple of years ago when I was on the fence it was Moose's logical and researched points which won me over - my major concern the whole time was the playoffs - I really looked forward to - and enjoyed - the playoffs --- as Moose pointed out there could likely be pl...

This bye week has me going to the JMU/UNCc game today with some JMU friends, and pulling for the Dukes... What sad thing does the bye week have you doing today? Come back Mountaineers! !!!! I am digging a ditch with a hand shovel and a rake. Gee - I figured you would still be too depressed to do mu...

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
Pat Kennedy - former FSU head coach --- "Pat Kennedy said "Gary Williams will tell you this, most of the coaches in the ACC felt that Carolina was a fraud in that they walked around like they were Stanford or Vanderbilt or Northwestern, but they weren't, they were not even Duke. They took the most e...

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
again, I will post this quote --- "Ten of the 15 players on North Carolina's 2005 national championship men's basketball team were AFAM majors. North Carolina coach Roy Williams told investigators he was "uncomfortable" early on about his players' heavy use of AFAM classes, but he denied knowing the...

Re: IT'S WAKE FOREST.... 2017
WV I'm not saying you posted it, but others did. They said until we expanded we would never see a P5 school in Boone. Gotcha --- I did go back and scan some posts because I could have possibly said something like that a couple of years ago - don't think I did, at least in regards to WF and possibly...

Re: IT'S WAKE FOREST.... 2017
Where are naysayers who said we would never get a P5 school in Boone? Just about every thing these folks said would never happen as already taken place and its only year 1! I never understood the naysayers when there were lots of G5 schools that were already getting home and homes with P5's. I gues...

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
I just don't think they will levy any wrong-doing against the basketball program (other than some strong words) - Roy has covered his butt pretty good on this and maybe he didn't know as I will not pass judgment - The top holes would take a bullet before they would see the basketball team get tarnis...

" The total cost has not been determined but UNC System President Tom Ross said it would be “very expensive.” Wainstein charges $990 per hour for his time and informed UNC that three associates will bill the university at $775, $535 and $450 per hour. Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
Gonzo, you are just wrong about this. Our kids are steered to majors, in this same fashion. I know, it happen to my son. It didn't say it was the same, its the same type of thing. There is nothing wrong or even unethical about steering kids to certain majors - in fact, if done under the right premi...
