They fired the entire coaching staff over a claim of "verbal abuse"?
What does that even mean in the context of coaching college athletes? These athletes are adults, not children. Must be some really breathtaking "verbal abuse". There must have been previous complaints and it just snowballed.

Re: Shout out to down town Boone!
Woodlands is still a great place to eat and the only good bbq around. When it is fresh it is very good. Pepper's ain't what it used to be. Proper is a great restaurant. The salmonella was related to local, organic eggs they used one day and not indicative of poor sanitation or food handling procedur...

Re: How do you repond to this?
I read a FB post yesterday from a guy who said no App team has ever been so embarrassed as the one that went to UM yesterday. I asked if the guy remembered VPI or Florida and got a ho hum answer. Some people just have an axe to grind, you'll never change their mind. I could add a couple of games ag...

Michigan fan here, hope i'm not over stepping any bounds by posting. Watching from the other teams perspective I thought maybe I could give a little perspective. The app state Dline looked very good today and got decent pressure against the 1st string oline. I could see them doing some good things ...

Re: were you there in 07?
I was there PBR and it was magical. It was just surreal and hard to really explain if you weren't there. Two days ago I went outside in the morning and thought "this is just the kind of day it was in Michigan"....cool crisp morning, bright blue sky, low humidity, just a perfect day. I remember every...

I said when CC left there was writing on the wall people are starting to see some scribbling. Corporate money is going to be a huge component going forward and the new chancellor is taking steps to get it done.

Seems like a lateral move to me. Maybe the salary is much better or maybe there was writing on the wall.... I wish him the best and he has done a pretty good job. He stepped into a gold mine with the football program which he really can't claim any credit. He did greatly improve our facilities and g...

The big 5 are little more than money whores. Money ruins everything eventually if the numbers are big enough. Government, Wall Street, corporations, medical care/insurance, professional sports and now at work on the university system. Just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you earned it b...

Why would there be any ASU players on the list? Makes sense to me although the GS gift is surprising. Who cares, we have to make our bones.

Re: House resurrects, passes Boone ETJ bill
There is a reason you all haven't heard much from me in the past couple of weeks, except the occasional recruiting post (I even have a new 2016 Basketball offer I've known about for three days but just haven't had time to put it in the thread). This is the reason. I live in the eastern ETJ. We peti...

Soucek and Jordan are idiots, so is the NC legislature. Good luck with that next election boys. There are a couple hundred ETJ's in the state but this affects only Boone. Oh yeah and citizens of the ETJ did not push for or support this action. Government run amok.

There really isn't much more milk in this cow. At some point it will cease to be college football and they are going to alienate the students and fan base. How much more "autonomy" do they need?

Not here to argue housing prices but I will tell you that Trulia is the most inaccurate source of real estate information in the country. Only true source is what is currently listed on the MLS, as it is a measure of what you can currently go out and buy. The problem is that they do not have a feed...

Let me restate, the greater Denver Metro Area which I consider Denver is much cheaper. Denver proper is very small size wise. Yes if I want a high rise condo downtown it will be pricey. I have two kids and a dog, I will be in the suburbs where 250-300 buys far more house than it does in Boone. Sale...

Real Estate in Boone is so expensive. The difference between what 200,000 buy you in Boone compared to Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston, Asheville Chapel Hill is astounding. Professors at other Universities are living high on the hog while in Boone they are just doing well. I'm sure they visit and se...
