Re: AAC just lost their big 3
I know it's a long shot and probably laughable, but I'm assuming Wichita State isn't a factor in this any is it? They're a full AAC member sans football but the president was hinting at reviving their football/band program a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if anything is happening with that other ...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
Per USA Today this morning, this appears to be a done deal. So that leaves us with just one question. AAC or SBC? Home games against ECU, Navy, and Memphis would be guaranteed to pack the place between fans of both schools. You'd never have nearly that attendance for matchups against USA, TXST, ULM...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
The question is do we need to be in the AAC to reach the playoff? TBD playoff expansion changes everything. Same reason why Clemson doesn’t need to be in the SEC or Big10. They can reach the playoff right where they are. Yes. Unless we have another year like 2020 where a bunch of schools are inacti...

Any updates on how the Jerry Moore Plaza is coming along? I want to know when I can find my family brick.

Re: SoCon football 2021-2022
And Western lost again. But only by 3. And almost 10,000 in attendance. Their board is happy with the loss and large and think they may be turning a corner with this coach and they have a good point. They have a new coach, one coach died a few weeks ago and the margin of loss was much less than the...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
I did like our mention in this SI article from Friday: "In the meantime, will the AAC have a response to losing three of its richest members? A wave of realignment is now likely to hit the Group of 5 ranks. Some feel as if Conference USA is ripe for the plucking by the American. The Sun Belt also co...

Props to Texas State for hanging in there with Baylor though.

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
Without those schools in the AAC, it isn't the same conference in either tv dollars or perception of dominant teams. Truth is the current Sun Belt would be a much better conference than what remained of the AAC. I know historically the Sun Belt did not get recognition but that is not the case anymo...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
I think our win against ECU was an audition. The ? is, do we desire to bite. I don't know. I think the Sun Belt is a good conference but it's not getting the attention it deserves year-in and year-out. I mean look at how the clowns calling the ECU game treated us? Look at the coverage every time we...

Re: Game Announcers
Except for the big games, we usually have s*** announcers. Don’t get me started with the espn+ broadcasts…. I remember that one guy last year who wouldn't shut up about Charlotte having gold-on-white jerseys and how they were illegal. He sounded like Tim Gunn seeing someone wearing white after Labo...

There goes Texas once again thinking they're on the same caliber as a Notre Dame and mucking up the college landscape.

It's amazing to see how far that program has fallen behind. Seeing where both of our schools used to be it's like looking at the NCAA version of Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty.

I was a freshman and remembered the bookstore selling "We're going to the Final Four!" shirts which suddenly vanished after Ohio State demolished the guys.

It's been what? 1999 since we last had a basketball team in this position? This is weird, around this time I'm usually rooting for my wife's alma mater, lol.

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl game thread
Not a bad year. Being undefeated in bowl games since we've been allowed to play in them is a nice feather in the hat regardless. Hopefully next year we can keep it up. I think the team really missed having the fans behind them, I bet that would have helped a lot in those close games, especially how...

Re: gamecocks out of bowl
At 2-8 with a 6 game losing streak, USC has absolutely no business being anywhere near a bowl...pandemic year or not. Hopefully the Blazers find someone else to play that is at least .500 for the year.

Re: Napier Turns Down Auburn
Somebody obviously dropped him on his head when he was born, foolish financial decision. When you take a job at a place like Auburn, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State or Notre Dame it's almost like a political appointment. Yeah the money's good but I don't think I could spend all my time schmoozing with d...
