Our kids are hanging tough. Especially the young kids. I'm impressed with their efforts on the road.

Re: MBB: ASU's last SoCon visit to the 'Whee

 This Houston is too far away to help. BTW. that reminds me that a certain Buzz is presently at the 39-77 (.336) mark in four seasons with the UNC-W Seahawks with a year remaining on his $500,000 annual salary. Actually it's closer to $575,000 plus a lot of perks. Wonder if the Wilmington f...

Re: MBB: ASU's last SoCon visit to the 'Whee

FWTR, Radio 97.3 WKBC-FM is not carrying this afternoon's basketball game. No pre-game show. No announcement. No nothing, except nice music selections. Not what I ordered!

Houston we have a problem!

MBB: ASU's last SoCon visit to the 'Whee

RPI #342 App State (7-16, 3-6 SoCon) visits RPI #237 Western Carolina (12-11, 5-3) at 2 PM in the RRAC (Ramsey Regional Activity Center) over in the 'Whee. This will be the last meeting of the two teams in the RRAC as conference mates. ASU is movin' on; and the Catamounts are pretty much stuck in t...

Re: Ross & UNC-BOG puts brakes on ASU doctoral plans

I'll let you do your reading when you get home to a bigger screen. It starts with "recommendations" from a consulting firm employed by the BOG. Those recommendations were apparently "right down Tom Ross' alley" (This might be expected; as we know what paid consultants do.). Regardless of the recomme...

Re: Ross & UNC-BOG puts brakes on ASU doctoral plans

What was turned down. I know Eshelman, Fennebresque and of course Scott Lampe is a Yosef Club Member. Before I say anything it wou be good to know facts. If your question is for me... Certainly, all we have right this minute is a published report in The Daily Tar Heel that the BOG revised ASU's mis...

Ross & UNC-BOG puts brakes on ASU doctoral plans

A few weeks ago, the UNC-BOG put the brakes on plans UNC-W was developing for a new doctoral program. They cited needless duplication for their action. http://www.starnewsonline.com/article/20140120/ARTICLES/140129984#gsc.tab=0 Today's edition of THE DAILY TARHEEL cites similar action to roadblock n...

Re: NCAA RULES CASUALITY

That's a sad commentary on collegiate athletics. And the young woman, Sami Spenner, seems convinced that NCAA officials didn't even read her affidavit or deposition. Her school needs to send a high-end attorney to knock down a couple of doors in Indianapolis.

Re: App vs Citadel Thread

7 pm tip at the Holmes Dome Yep, this will be the clash of the "Have-Nots" of college basketball. El Cid stumbles in with an RPI of 350--next to the worst team in all of Division I. ASU will take the court not all that far ahead with an RPI of 342--the tenth worst team in Division I. Should be a da...

What's next for The Moose, AppGrad78 and 24/7?

We don't have a Men's Basketball Coaching Vacancy as of 6 February , but we're likely to have one on or before 10 March . Our "go-to" guys have to get rested up to keep us up to date on the approach our administration will take to resolve the Capel contract and/or recruit and hire a completely new M...
