Re: 247 sports says we won't win 9 or more
8-4 unacceptable? IMO a disappointment but unacceptable with a completely new staff seems a bit harsh. 2 p5 games in the mix. You might want to calm down.

Re: Major Cell Network Issues
Verizon here and absolutely no luck in stadium or on campus. I also like updates at the bare minimum of Sunbelt games and top 25 games. It was nonexistent on the big board.

Re: Sutton suspended for ETSU
If Drink had waited on the Judicial process to finish and he is found guilty of whatever, then, possibly mid to late season in tougher games Drink is looking at suspending him for a game. This way it’s done in a game that it SHOULDN’T matter. Smart move. He is still punished yet less likely to punis...

Re: First game: ETSU
For all of you completely disrespecting ETSU, don’t forget a little team that most of the country knew nothing about going to Ann Arbor in 2007 and pulling the biggest upset in college football history. This would not be near the upset that was. Ad to that we have a new staff. Beat ETSU. Wow, sound...

Re: CBS Sports names App best D1 team in NC
I don’t put much stock in preseason polls and predictions but the map in the article with our logo over the state is really something to see. I do believe we can become the football brand for NC. Nobody else has made it happen. I agree. No other program in the state has been able to carry the torch...

Re: MBB: Welcome Coach Dustin Kerns
We are a football school. The expectations are high. We are at the top of our conference. We go 8-4 in football and it is viewed as a down season. We go 24-8 in basketball and that’s the best thing since sliced bread. The expectations are different, plain and simple, at least right now. I’m happy t...

Re: MBB: Welcome Coach Dustin Kerns
Unlike football, there’s really no place to go but up. Drink is in a pressure cooker. Kearns isn’t. No predictions here because I thought Fox would succeed. Good luck to both coaches. Just out of curiosity, why do you hold high expectations for our football program and not extend them to our basket...

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search
Lutz stated on DG show that App is looking at a younger candidate. $&@+ ! Where has “younger” gotten us recently? I’d take proven winner over little boy with potential any day right now. Especially when the geezer apparently really wants to be here. In fairness, this could be taken out of context. ...

Re: Zac Thomas voted best QB in SBC for 2019
I would like to see Baldwin get game time as early as possible to prepare him for stepping in for Zac should something like the GS fiasco start to happen again. That nearly ended our shot at the SBC championship.

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Bets on how many more walk before coaching a lick? Curious. Is ECU, Troy, or others out there having this kind of turnover in their new staffs? As I said before, are we going after too big a fish? Does Drink need to look at smaller, yet quality, fish? The players have to be getting frustrated if we ...

Re: Another one bites the dust
How do we teach our youth COMMITMENT when the adults who are their mentors don’t know how to honor their own COMMITMENT? Unfortunately, in today's world, that ship has sailed. It's all about living in the moment. (Can't say I agree with it, but it's reality) Unfortunately, that is very true. Our so...

Re: Another one bites the dust
There is a lot to be said for contentment, IMO. I quit constantly looking for the bigger, better position some years ago and am the happiest I’ve ever been. I live within my means and it works for me. It took me until my 40’s to figure that out so I guess it’s to be expected from younger folks. Good...
