Re: Duke Removes Robert E. Lee Statue
This is such a delicate topic that I've hesitated to comment anywhere on it. Ultimately these statues will come down, but I wonder would we be better off putting more contextually accurate markers at each monument instead of removing them from view? The hole in the argument that they don't represen...

Re: Sun Belt News
Pretty good stuff. Nothing much new for those that keep up. I did not know the Rajin Cajuns had mascot controversy. Seems like a Cayenne pepper is both a logical, politically correct and unique choice. Maybe the powers that be at Louisiana can spend the next 12-24 months screwing that up. Perhaps t...

From the picture, it looks like it takes up a pretty good amount.
I like the white block A on top.

Re: Season Tickets Question
I have a question on season tickets, how does one go about obtaining the black seat cushions/backs that stay there through the season? Have never seen the option to purchase. I have inquired previously of YOSEF and the ticket office as I would like them myself. What I was told is those are only ava...

Re: State of Virginia to have insane number of G5 and P5 rivalry games
heard the announcement about the 3-2 series between Liberty and VT on the drive home here in RVA, about drove off the road in shock. College football is all about money and liberty has access to more of it than any program in existence. They will have these kinds of schedules for many years to come...

Re: ECU Official Scholarship Offer Letter- Only One Problem
I was planning on putting up a thread in the Lodge about today being the day that all programs send out their Official Scholarship Offer letters and was going to show the posts from some of our commits who shared theirs. But this was just too good to pass up on putting up. Like everyone ECU sent ou...

Re: Georgia State Stadium Update
Geez. A stadium built 20 years ago is considered old? " Turner Field, which was built way back in 1997 (they didn't even have electricity then if memory serves), was then passed along to Georgia State for football. Georgia State had been playing in the Georgia Dome, which opened even earlier than Tu...

Re: Georgia State Stadium Update
I know most folks were glad to see Charlie head to Atlanta but you gotta hand it to Cobb, his job timing is impeccable. He shows up to App just in time to see the football team win 3 straight titles, oversees the athletics center and helps to lead App into the Sun Belt. Shortly after he arrives at ...

Just an update: I was able to make it out to KBS last evening and the gate at the top of the hill (where the block A garden is) was wide open! They should probably be locking that gate up once the workday is over, seeing as they have millions of dollars worth of equipment lying around the stadium t...

ESPN Gameday sent a crew to North Carolina yesterday to interview several heroes from App’s historic upset for a feature on the 10-year anniversary of the 2007 opener. The tribute will air during ESPN Gameday’s coverage of App’s season opener vs. UGA on September 2, 2017. App State will honor the g...

Re: Appalachian State still haunts Michigan Fans
In the book about the game, we quote Michigan's Terrance Taylor as saying it is the worst loss in Michigan sports history. As I travelled around researching the book on the game, or whenever I saw a Michigan fan - at an airport, etc.. - I would try to ask what their worst memory of Michigan sports ...

I see no problem with Sean Connery either. I wonder if we pay a royalty for using the clip.Rick83 wrote:I may be in the minority here...but the Sean Connery clip always makes me smile and cheer. I also liked the movie...for whatever that's worth.
