Re: ESPNU coverage of game Thursday night at Gnatsboro
So our conference sells out to ESPN for pennies and our biggest rivalry game is relegated to ESPN-U. Wow. The game should at the very least be on ESPN 2. But if Georgia Southern hadn't fired Summers, should this game have been on ESPN at all? Probably not. Should consider ourselves lucky that this ...

Re: App getting love on CFP 25
The good news and the bad news is remaining schedule. App State has the easiest remaining schedule and is the most likely to win out of the G5s. However the harder schedules of others give them a chance to leapfrog is. AAC: UCF and USF are already ahead. If Cincinnati and Houston win out they will ...

Re: App getting love on CFP 25
I saw that as I was waiting for the Troy/USA game, It was on ESPN2. Even Herbie mentioned that App should be considered as one of the top G5 teams along with Central FL and San Jose State. It was amazing to see Apps logo along with the others in discussions of the top 25 teams. Now just keep winnin...

Re: playing against Scott Sloan defense
One question: How will App's offense be affected by 5 years of offseason work against the defense Sloan is running? Surely the coaches know the ins and outs of how to attack this defense considering they practice against it in offseason work and the young guys who come up through the ranks of the sc...

Re: App getting love on CFP 25
I’ll be honest. All this ranking talk makes me nervous about the game Thursday there is no ranking talk. The team is already ranked. Being ranked number one while in FCS never seemed to hinder the teams preparation. Satterfield has instilled a one game at a time approach that doesn't involve lookin...

Re: ESPNU coverage of game Thursday night at Gnatsboro
Check out SlingTV. I've used it for years now and it usually fits my needs. I traditionally have just gotten the "Orange" package because it ESPN ESPN2 Disney for my daughter. I upgraded to "Orange and Blue" which has NFL and fox sports networks. I just added the "sports" add on for 10$ to get ESPN...

Re: ESPNU coverage of game Thursday night at Gnatsboro
ESPN = HYPE I agree with you. I feel like I know just as much or more about BAMA as I know about App simply from watching ESPN... And Notre Dame can go for a long swim with weights on their ankles in lake Michigan for all I care. Join a conference Why would Notre Dame want to join a conference? Why...

If you're talking about this thread, I take most of the negative posts as people who are trying to make themselves feel better about being in FCS. https://egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=81444&sid=e92b4b1786e1a250e0ae82b2759ba219 Their posts are funny to me because they aren't even ranked t...

Re: Opening line APP -8 in Shreksboro
We'll cover it.....barely. Based on the game against NMSU, App has an opportunity to win this game by 3 scores. NMSU has a FCS quality defense, so it's tough to extrapolate that side of the ball. But if Thomas can get off of his first read and push the ball downfield, App should be in good shape. S...

Re: Coastal Game App section?
What sections were App's allocated tickets in for the Coastal game, like 100, 101, 200? Trying to get down there and would like to be close to my black & gold brethren. Probably going to be the whole stadium. It's November in Myrtle Beach. Secondary market tickets can be had for $30 a piece. Will b...

Re: Bowl Projections after being ranked #25
UCF could easily lose 2 games. This can get really interesting if we win Thursday and Temple veats UCF at home the following Thursday UCF and USF are both just getting into the difficult part of their schedule. App is the third ranked team in the G5 according to the AP. Assuming the CFP Committee a...

Re: On to Statesboro
UL gave up more v NMSU than GS. Don't forget who the DC is for the Eagles. We generally perform well against the option but this GS team leads the conference in rushing and are 6-1, we should be worried. Now everyone is talking about how good UL is on defense after predicting we would score at will...

Re: #rankappstate
Is it remotely possible that teams in our conference actually recruit, practice and compete in games? I’ve joked along with lots of folks about score predictions but the teams we play actually try to win. We ain’t Alabama You're right. And ECU is driving against UCF. A Touchdown would make it a 6 p...

Re: APP STATE vs LaLaLand!
The stinks schedule this year is a joke. All their tough games are at home. I don't know what we are looking at Thursday night. I'm hopeful for less rushing attempts with 8 guys in the box and a single high safety. Evans is as good of a receiver as a running back so utilize that to catch the defens...

Re: APP STATE vs LaLaLand!
What happened to the H-back wheel route when the defense stacks the box? Seems App is content trying to block 8 guys using 5 and expecting Evans to make at least 3 guys miss.

Re: #rankappstate
We looked more than a little flat..... The game plan looked like it was to shorten the game. Thomas didn't seem to want to come off of his first read. The receivers have had a case of the dropsies the past two weeks. What happened to the H-back wheel route when the defense stacks the box? Seems App...

Re: Louisiana up Next
So.... if we don’t run the option more I will be very upset... was wanting us to call it several times when up the middle prooved to fail early and often the first half of the Arky game. Anyone know if we even ran it other than the scoring play by Thomas towards the end of the game ? We won 35-9 ag...
