Re: On To The Next One - JMU Discussion

Hello Everyone! I come in peace and with respect. 😂 1. In response to and earlier question, yes we did play NDSU in the Fargo Dome our last game in FCS. You don’t get much louder than that 2. No we are not conference title eligible nor Bowl eligible this year. From what I hear, if we qualify and th...

I still don’t know what kind of team we have….
I think that is fair. I think that we are whatever we need to be on any given week.

Re: Morning after: Good, bad, ugly

I could fill the page with positives since we won. We had no business losing to Troy first place and no business winning at the end - what were the odds?, but that's why we have been undoubtedly the most exciting ticket over the years - Mountain Magic. My concerns are just reiterations and blatantl...

Re: On To The Next One

I look at JMU much like I looked at us after two games. We score 61 at home and lose, then go on the road and score 17 and win. JMU played an average at best MTSU offense and a bad defense. Norfolk State is a bad FCS team. So I’m having difficulty in assessing how they will do with their first conf...

Re: Player Injuries

Clark just said Cobb back this week and Peoples is fine. Wells will see dr today but has been walking around. No other details on the conf today. This type of post is why the original question was asked. Not everyone can watch the pressers and these summaries are very helpful. I also understand not...

Re: On To The Next One

The lack of desired pressure from our DEs is a by product of having bigger DEs than we have had in the past.

Re: Checking for a Frist Down

Officials now generally set the ball on the closest hash for a first down. If a punt is returned to the 32.75 yard line, the initial spot will be the 33. If a runner then runs 10.25 yards to pick up the first down, the ball is set on the 43. This makes the judgment easier to eyeball. Great point. I...

Re: Player Injuries

Kanye Roberts is ready to play. Crazy thought but with our injuries could some of our 2022 class signings like him that supposedly look good in practice be able to play the next 3 games to give our dinged up players a rest and still have games we should be able to win without them? We really need t...

Re: Checking for a Frist Down

One has to wonder if the replay reviews that have lengthened games have caused them to use chains less as a compromise.

Re: Player Injuries

Noel was out, Harrington and Peoples apparently get banged up. Any updates? #9 WR Christian Wells went down with a lower body issue late 3rd or early 4th and was unable to return. He had to be helped off the field. Our Docs took him to the tent for an exam. He came out retaped and tried to run, but...
