Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
I get what you are saying. You may know more than the rest of us. This may be the " New **itty World" of college sports I am actually as in the dark as most everyone else. I know that we made offers to Abson and Spiller and both were rejected. I don’t know what they were or why they were rejected b...

Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
Well, I think this topic has App fans upset.... right So, saying "Coach Kerns knows the players are leaving and we are working on reorganizing for a great season next year" would make me feel better. We don't even know if Coach is still our coach. So...... give us "financial supporters" some info G...

Re: Original NIL Discussion
NIL is becoming a necessary evil to compete. If we don’t keep up then it will affect wins and losses on the field. I get that most on here seem to grasp that when it comes to basketball, but are you willing to accept it if it affects football? NIL is not an evil if done right. What we are seeing is...

Re: Portal season (Abson, etc)
I have nothing good to write. We have raised the most entitled generation in history. There is a reason why the best in the coaching world are retiring. The future is not good unless congress addresses this issue. You are as wrong as can be on this. This is not an entitled generation, this is a gen...

Re: Original NIL Discussion
Nobody who is on the side of favoring NIL has offered up a single reasonable financial suggestion that can be quantified. There is some misconception that App State athletics will become better and that we will springboard to more championships if we just pony up a pot of money to pay the athletes....

Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
I am still waiting for an announcement from someone other than the players leaving. Something is better then NOTHING. 11am and ticking Did the administration not know if was coming ? What exactly is it that you want the to tell you? The coaches conduct exit interviews after every season so I imagin...

Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
Here’s the thing with the new SANIL partnership. You can donate to the collective in two ways. The first is obviously donating money directly. The second one will be through some broad reaching creative marketing that will create an indirect revenue stream. Many associate that to buying wings or a j...

Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?
For those that are opposed to NIL, and I count myself as one, this is going to keep happening unless we give to that cause. I don't disagree, but it wouldn't change anything for me. There is a set amount I am willing to spend for donations/entertainment. Making up numbers, if that amount were $3,00...

https://x.com/appweeklynews/status/1771648295837782285?s=46&t=UfUtPHfzYe5R3hJ5cku44g Interesting interview. Some names I didn’t expect as performing newcomers. Clark mentions timing of spring ball and wishing it started now. Or, maybe he just wishes he had an extra 15 days for more work. I like the...

Re: 2024 Spring Ball
Actually, I looked back and Satterfield did a spring game two years in a row, 2013 and 2014. 2013 was on a Saturday and there was also an open scrimmage at Ardrey Kell HS the week before. The 2014 spring game was on a Friday night for some insane reason. Drinkwitz held a "Mountaineers Day" in 2019 ...
