I certainly could be proven wrong, but I never thought he was the hot commodity some have thought. Certainly not for any high profile job.

JMU has hired Morehead State's coach. He has a string of 20 win seasons and two NCAA tournament trips.

Frankly, I really don't see Kerns being the choice of a previously successful peer or above program. There might be a program out there that has the resources but just hasn't found success. I just don't see a program like Charleston putting Kerns in their sights.
