Re: Opening line for UMass

This vegas line scares me to death. One would think we should easily take care of business up there but looks like we are in for another close one that comes down to the wire....

Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?

Hat tip to the OP - I didn't think it would get to this point, but I agree it makes sense now. Get all the way well and come back stronger than ever Shaedon. This is huge for App breaking in a new starter at QB next season. Now we just need to finish this season strong in his absence! GO 'NEERS!

If either or both can't go for the Wake game might it be a prudent play to redshirt these guys simply based on the remaining games on the schedule?

Re: IT'S THE WAKE FOREST GAME ---

Looking forward to the game but I am not sure this offense can score enough points against a good team. If we wait until halftime to adjust it might be too late. Agree fans will play a big part. Let's hope for a cool mountain day for the defense sake. Hoping my gut feeling about this game is very w...

Re: Texas St game

Very disappointed with the Oline play so far this season. If Taylor's throwing shoulder is banged up, that would explain the number of errant throws and bouncing a few throws short of receivers. We need a full strength QB in the backfield against Wake to have any shot so hopefully Taylor is 100% by ...

Re: Just a note of comparison ---

Gillin is committed to scheduling (1) FCS, (1) P5 school away $$, (1) G5 home, (1) P5 home or G5 away. He also wants to schedule P5 schools and G5 schools within both our recruiting footprint and desirable driving distances for the alumni base (helps with travel reputation for bowl game selections)....

Re: Just a note of comparison ---

Keep in mind that we still need to schedule 1-off upper tier P5 guarantee games to help pay our bills. Until the Yosef club can fully fund all athletic scholarships (~$3M gap currently) this statement will continue to be true. If you know anyone not currently donating to Yosef Club, tell them to gi...

Re: Low Attendance?

Have to say that I was impressed with the student turnout for an opponent like SSU. Student section looked full from my perspective. I agree that the drop in attendance for this game was due to travel to UGA. My wife and kids stayed home for SSU as they needed some relief on all the traveling we did...

Re: Thoughts on the board?

The new video board looked APPsolutely amazing.

Question - is there a rule where you can't show replay of targeting penalty? We didn't show either replay of the two targeting penalties while under review - would have loved to have seen those while refs are reviewing.

Here is to hoping the injury isn't too serious for the young man. He looked solid when he was in the game and healthy.

Re: UNH vs Stink

I think we all love the idea of making Wake an annual game. We flog them twice in a row I doubt that happens. We have two really good sell out games and split them it's pretty hard for either administration (and I really mean theirs) to say no to playing every year. Let's not get ahead of ourselves...

Does anyone know of the status of Marcus Williams Jr.? He went down with a non-contact injury and typically those are never good.
