Re: Happy Go For Two Day

Every time I watch these videos - chill bumps are followed by desire to bust through the nearest wall like I'm a Cool-Aid rep. I think they perfectly capture our football culture. Anything is possible. On any play. Never give up. We're special even if nobody's looking. Especially when nobody's look...

I don't like seeing them down. I don't like seeing them at all.

Seriously, what do I care if some girl I dated ten years ago gets knocked up?
Because she named the baby after YOU.
Better than naming it Cline.

But seriously, you lobbed a softball up. How was I not supposed to swing at it?

Re: Sad state of affairs in Cullowhee

I am not a graduate of either APP or WCU but back 100 years ago in my day my school was in the same conference so I am aware of old days but I still don't understand the animosity so many APP fans have with Western? Years ago, we were very similar schools. Both in the mountains, both a bit difficul...

Re: Sad state of affairs in Cullowhee

App should help them out and schedule them :D I could care less if we ever see them on the schedule again. During my 25 years following ASU somewhat closely, they've been a rival in name only. I think I recall them winning once (maybe twice)? No one on the team or really associated with the program...

Re: Sad state of affairs in Cullowhee

When is the last time Western would be considered "good" in football? 1980's? Is there any one reason that their football program fell into decline in the 1990's? I started following App football as a kid in the late 1990's so was hoping some of the older fans might have an answer. They've had a fe...

Re: Observations 5 games in (long)

Maybe this link will work for the FAMU game? Click on the box score. http://www.famuathletics.com/fls/25300/Stats/Football/1999/TEAMSTAT.HTM?DB_OEM_ID=25300 Unintended segue here. But the box score shows we had 6,800 in attendance. Man have we grown as a program. Can you even imagine having that ty...

Re: Sad state of affairs in Cullowhee

If would be really easy to kick them while they’re down, so I won’t. Their administration seems to only have a football team so they can showcase their band. That’s not a good way to run an athletics program. I would say that one day they will turn it around, but I honestly never see it happening. T...

More green space on campus is not a bad thing. Getting rid of ground level parking will only enhance the look. Parking lots are ugly. Parking decks can be dressed up.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera

Are they going to have a net up for XPs/field goals? It was plenty of fun to watch folks chase the balls through the construction site back when it was flat dirt with a few holes. It'll be a little tougher with steel beams and construction. I'd pay pretty good money to see someone get blindsided by...

I hate to say it but the La punter deserves the recognition he got. Could have been a disaster of a night any other year
I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise. He was the ULL player of the game by a long shot.

Re: @ South Alabama on ESPNU

Not to keep rehashing this over and over, but stuff like this is why some of us wanted to be ranked ASAP. This doesn't happen if we don't have a number next to our name. Obviously we have to win to be ranked, and ranking and winning are not mutually exclusive, but there's a really big picture here ...

Asking if this is the first time we’ve been ranked? And what is our highest ranking ever achieved?

Does Satt go for the first down here? I would.
Does he fear failure or attack success?

I’d go for it all day, especially given it’s his first year and he’s playing with house money.
