Re: Frank Ponce

I don't disagree with you ericsaid. I lean towards wanting a more stable pocket passer and some hogmollys to hold the pocket. Henni is definitely a possession guy, but Corey can seperate and was definitely an underutilized weapon. A like a good dual threat QB, but nothing is sexier than a rainbow d...

Re: Frank Ponce

Man you are absolutely insane if you really believe this. Go back and watch the games from last year, or watch Illinois this year since he’s still running the exact same plays. It’s BAD. And Ponce has experience as an excuse, Peterson does not. 3rd down completion % last year 51%. This year it was ...

Re: Frank Ponce

May be an unpopular opinion, but I felt Ponce mismanaged our offensive talent and his play design/play calling depreciated as the season went on. I'm sure I'll get a few "arm chair OC" comments and the like, but I dont speak from a casual fan perspective. He did about as good a job as Peterson. Man...

Re: Robinson Transfer

While I hope that these two guys can fit in and contribute I see different sides to the transfer portal. Seems like you see more and more guys who got several good offers coming out of high school- probably a majority of which were good G5 type but also that 1 P5 so they took the “gold ring” only t...

Re: Frank Ponce

I luv our Backs but I always focus on good nasty linemen.....they can make backs look very good or very bad I’ll add to my post here. As it was explained to me by one of our current OL. The concept that we use is designed to exploit gaps in the defense. Very much like an option team. The goal is to...

Re: Frank Ponce

Some of us actually understand the dynamics of coaching and gameplanning. I won't argue that i still consider myself an "arm chair coordinator", but I do have a better grasp than the average fan in addition to coaching experience at the high school level. There were some glaring issues with our ove...

Re: Frank Ponce

What we armchair coordinators have to remember is that we don't break down opponent's film like the coaches do nor do we actually put together a game plan. It's not as easy as we like to imagine it to be. There's more to play calling than just thinking, "hey, a jet sweep might work here." There are...

The weather for Saturday isn’t looking to promising for a throwing team.
11am kick is not promising for a television audience either. Ridiculous.
It’s “Breakfast with the Apps”.

Friends don’t let friends bring up Blacksburg. Great atmosphere and people. Game was scary. I bet Lamm has nightmares about it.
What game? Blacksburg?

Weather trends for Saturday in Boca... Rain is possible but looks like, if they see it, it won't be until the second half. Highs will be in the lower 80s and muggy.

Go Mountaineers!

Re: Game week in Boca

It sure seems like it isn't just you based on the scant hype about this game. Seemed in years past the lead up to the bowl game was very hyped with lots of different discussion. Just not seeing that this year. I am still excited about the game, but it feels like we are just limping toward the end o...

If you have personal beliefs that overshadow your desire to see App play, by all means feel free to sit it out. No one will think less or more of you.

They have an entire offseason to add wrinkles.....
Yes. But you only have a finite time to practice said wrinkles on a weekly bases. What works against Marsha, may not work against CoVid Carolina.

Re: Robinson Transfer

I will use the same position as above with the RBs. How can you look at that list and definitively say that they are all talented? I’m not trying to be negative. But only two of them have caught passes in a game thus far for us and one other has caught one or two at the FBS level. Outside of Stroma...

Re: Game week in Boca

I'm considering making the trip to Boca for the bowl game. But, I'm curious to know which side of the stadium will be our side? I'd like to make sure the tickets I buy are on our side of the field. Any help is appreciated. You can buy the, through the school. If you are a Yosef Club member, you can...
