Re: 2019 Football Schedule

I would expect the rematch of the Conference championship game to be on a Thursday night. I would prefer a bye before the UNC game to help prepare. The Heels are playing Wake in a non-conference matchup the week before. Hopefully they'll be dragging a bit. What are the chances of the two Carolina m...

Re: Favorable calls

When you hear coaches talk about how hard it is to win on the road, officiating is part of the equation.

Re: NO Bowl vs DG Bowl vs Camellia Bowl

It's New Orleans and its not even close. In Montgomery, you have about 4 things to do. I wasn't in Mobile proper, but Ladd is a dump. I can't wait to go to New Orleans again and do something completely different and it still be a whale of a time.

Important game to preserve the unblemished home record. I am less optimistic about how So Ala got to 11-0 than asu66. USA has 5 wins of RPI 250+ and zero top 100 wins.

Re: Saint Louis game debacle

Saint Louis is likely a tournament team and one of the better teams we have played this season. Our out of conference SOS was 82. The toughest schedule we have played in the Fox era. Not making excuses, just stating facts.

Apps up 91-57 with 3 to go. We pick up our 3rd non D1 win.

No Justin Forrest?
Forrest and Bibby were sidelined for precautionary rest. Didn’t need them tonight.

Also - To for the people saying minor progress, his best win was Va-Tech, his 3rd game ever as a coach. We haven’t beaten a P5 opponent since! AND USF, who we lost to this year......we beat by 13 last year. Not progress! Perspective: that was Buzz Williams' first season at VT and he was implementin...

Any updates on Bibby's return? Moose?
Might see him against Milligan on Dec. 20.
Bibby returned agaisnt Georgetown. Played ten minutes, hit a three, 2 ast, 2 steals. Looked like our best true point guard in stretches.

I really doubt that half of the people who make and/or post in these threads go to more than one or two games a year.

It's good that you care enough to mash your keyboards with the same complaints week after week but a lot of you need to actually show up.

There is no reason to pretend like we have all been here before. Change is inevitable. What makes you a man is how you react to it. Due to the unchartered territory of success that App State football has experienced for the last several years, it steered them into other unknown waters. No matter wha...

I'm not happy either, but we did finish 5th last season, so massive progress made, and I say he deserves this full year to show us if things are still trending upward. Minus the ECU game (choke job), this year has probably gone as expected. As I said before, I don't blame missed free throws on a co...

For the first time in Sun Belt history, two schools will be playing their ninth conference football game for a pretty huge trophy, and the right to play in the New Orleans Bowl. Our Mountaineers were good enough all season to be the first to ever host the conference championship game. That was the g...

Big games are what big time programs live for. Sometimes you win those games and sometimes you lose, but you always live for the big ones. The Mountaineers are hopefully facing three big games in a row. In the meantime, the App State redemption tour rolls on. Similar to South Alabama, and Arkansas S...

What I’m not sure about is whether students will get free admission.
Students better be free even if school has to “buy” the tickets for them.

Nothing feels better than getting back in the win column. The losses have to happen in order for the wins to be appreciated to the fullest extent. Not only did the Mountaineers enjoy getting back in the win column, but they had to have enjoyed doing it in front a lot of their fans in a visiting stad...
