Snow capped 'A'

Anybody know where I could get a copy of the snow capped 'A' logo used years ago? I'd like to use it, if at all possible.

Re: Winkler Residence Hall to be Razed?

Are those empty spaces in the morning or afternoon? I'm sure things do thin out after 1 p.m. classes. It was the case back in the day, but at 10 a.m., things were very packed. I would have killed for a last row space on a few occasions back then. I'm talking morning classes. I typically had classes...

Re: Winkler Residence Hall to be Razed?

I'm sure tudents want lush and green until they drive up and down every row in Stadium lot, unable to find a parking space at 8:55 a.m. There is plenty of parking for students already. With Greenwood, Hill Street, Stadium, Raley, River Street Parking Deck, and parking around the dorms, we do not ne...

Re: Winkler Residence Hall to be Razed?

Sounds as if they may put a classroom or parking garage there. Hard to believe they could fill 2,500 more students to live in Boone. Surprised they don't enroll more students then and solve that problem. I don't think the school or town administration WANT the school to get much bigger. ASU has alr...

Re: Winkler Residence Hall to be Razed?

If they do get rid of Winkler, I sincerely hope they do not replace it with another parking lot. Stadium Parking is already huge... we do not need to make it any bigger. I know that alumni want more parking there for tailgating during football season, but most students are growing tired of so much a...

Re: Block A at Midfield

Folks, there has been NO official logo change. If there had been a logo change, Appalachian State would have released a statement as to why the change was made and when the changes would take place. There is no reason to freak out about this logo on the helmets. It does not mean the white block A is...

Re: NEW UNIFORMS!!!

Can we stop with the "we did this when I was there, so you're wrong" stuff? There is no reason for us all to argue over a logo, one that is not and will not be the official logo. The logo has been slightly altered for our football uniforms, maybe for a season, maybe for ten... none of us really know...

Re: NEW UNIFORMS!!!

I'm not trying to be mean here, but that's what happens as you get older: the younger generations start making something their own and beginning their own traditions. You can't expect for the throwback Yosef to be used forever, just as we can't expect for the current Yosef head to be there forever....

Re: I know this is a lot to ask, but...

I am also sorry if I offended or upset anybody with this post. I believe that we should all be informed citizens and we should share our opinions, but I believe that there is enough negative in the world that we should not bring it to what is typically a light and funny message board.

Can we keep the discussions on Yosef's Cabin Appalachian State related? I know that there are certain areas of this website for just non-Appalachian discussions, but when I come to Yosef's Cabin, I don't want to see our fans arguing against each other over politics and governmental problems. I know ...

Re: Stadium renovation to start soon?

Problem solved. Takes care of two needs with one structure. http://goaztecs.cstv.com/facilities/sports_deck.html Locate it in the gully beside Bodenheimer Drive between the Greenway Parking Lot and the Broyhill Inn. Is a new soccer stadium not being built already? If so, putting the track around th...

Re: Vote for App - Top Adventure College

Well, voting is closed and we won't know who won til August. If Brevard is allowed to keep those votes, because I am POSITIVE that some Brevard students or alumni were stuffing the ballot box, then so be it. Appalachian State earned that win by voting daily for the past month and beating so many pow...

Re: UNCW looking to drop five sports

Let me clear things up: I am in no way saying that programs should be cut because they are not making money, because all in all, not many do. I am saying that if programs have to be cut, the ones that are not making money should be the first to go. Not many programs at UNCW make money as is, but the...

Re: UNCW looking to drop five sports

Here's the thing: not many people are willing to pay to watch people run around the track or swim. I know that that sucks, but it's the truth, and somebody had to say it. They may be incredibly successful programs, but if you aren't making money in collegiate sports, you're wasting money. They may ...

Re: UNCW looking to drop five sports

He probably looks good to them right now, but when the entire athletics department starts floundering because they are not making money anywhere, even with the decision to keep these five teams, he'll be criticized for not making the right decision. Here's the thing: not many people are willing to p...

Re: Vote for App - Top Adventure College

If Western really has a campaign to vote against us, they are beyond pathetic. They may hate us, but going as far as to rooting for the opponent is low, but then again, I expect nothing less. Good luck remaining at the bottom of the SoCon, Cats.
