Re: orange cones
they are for the next unit a team needs to have on the field to line up. There should be a team leader or grad assistant counting (count'em coach)to make sure they have the correct number of guys ready to go. One of the earlier opponents had a tarp with circles for the guys to stand on.

Re: Thoughts from the game
How did they get the ball on the 50 after the kick out of bounds? The 15 penalty was on the kick so why wouldn't it go to the 35yd line? Really hurt us.
The penalty is 30 yards from the point of the kick, after the 15 yd penalty we kicked from the 20. 20 + 30 =50.

Does anyone know how many grass seats we sell per game? I know some people who have seat tickets that choose to sit/stand on the grassy hill.

First Meeting: Nov. 16, 1969, ASU 49, SU 36, in Birmingham Last Meeting: Nov. 7, 1970, SU 42, ASU 35, in Boone We played Sammie twice before in the old days. We had never heard of Samford and thought at first we were going to play Stanford . What a let down when we finally found out who we were play...

Nothing wrong with chat but this board does not have the level of discussion and analysis that existed on the Delphi board. Don't know why but it's obvious. The above 'quote' is the biggest thing I do not like about this format, I have trouble figuring who a post is replying to (like the delphi boa...

Re: sumler
I think the problem rests with the defensive line.
I have a strong dislike for zone coverage, I think it confuses the defenders more than the offense. I would rather see man coverage and the LBers free to blitz and help with the run.

I think you are right about everyone pointing to/for us. I think they come up with somethings that we haven't seen on film and it takes time for us to adjust.

I have seen several high schools run that.AppSt94 wrote:I thought that the handoff to the WR who turned it into an option play was very creative. I had never seen that before. It really stretches the defense.
I also liked the reverse off that shovel play.

I also liked the fact that the flag waving guys had on the same top as the gals and that they turned to the "STATE" side to play.

Re: What I learned today
"One of the things I noticed about our defensive line was that they were pushed back at least 2 yds every play." Part of that may be that Cit was doing a lot of cut blocking. Dline usually does not line up as tight when that is happening. I also saw our young guys looking around for the ball instead...

Citadel's D did not let us throw long, they kept everything in front of them.
As for our D, the guys were in the right place but flat footed instead of attacking and were run by.

STUPID. At over $450,000 between them, why did they have to use fundraising money. GREED.

Re: Favorite part of Montana Game
Now that I know the end result, my favorite part of watching the replay today was the Griz running back Moore. Good lord... Only comparable player I've seen like him was Jerome Felton from Furman. Moore is way more agile though Moore was a beast. I loved watching J Kim get PO'd after missing him an...

NCAA found NO ATHLETIC violations, there were numerous problems with the AFAM program. Granted a high number of athletes took the classes, but so did a lots of other students for an easy grade.
