Re: NCAA Votes to Allow Athletes to Cash in on their fame
I've been of the opinion for years that college sports will eventually become separate entities from the universities . I'm not sure what that would look like but the money being made off football and basketball is so absurd that the university system can't keep a hold of this stuff in the long ter...

Re: (Afternoon) Classes need to be canceled Thursday for GaSo
The one time that they let the lots be open at noon for a weekday night game at 3pm, the time that they are opening up now, the lots were 95% empty. Most of our fans are not going to take a full day off for a game when they are in a 2-3 hour drive away. They are going to leave work at 2 or 3 pm, lo...

Re: App vs S Alabama Post Game Thoughts
Coach Drink (Head coach) was satisfied with the win but (OC) wasn't really pleased with the offensive performance. Anyone who watched the game understands why. Zac definitely took a while to get going....was off in the first quarter. I was wondering whether an 11:00 am kick-off and the heavy rain b...

Re: Undefeated FBS teams
What the P5 "prefer" is irrelevant. Their opinions, especially the opinions of their fans which is generally what drives that perception, is based on outdated information...or no information at all. That said, you're right that we have to win out. That's been true from the start.

Re: #21 APP State -25 to South AL
Sure is nice seeing App state vs South Al come across the crawl on ESPN top 25 games. It said App is 16-0 with Zac as primary QB. If you don’t think being one of the 25 best is huge Well... 1-0 We did lose to Penn State in OT in Zac's first start. Great publicity though! We don't have to point that...

Using the Armanti welcome would be perfect since Georgia Southern continues to believe that we "stole" him from them. Haha!

Re: Delicate Subject: Does anyone leave early afther this Season
Can we all try to show our players the basic respect of learning how to spell their names correctly before posting about them? It gets really old coming to this board to read about Darrington Evans, Zach Thomas and Cameron Peoples. You'd feel the same if it was someone misspelling your name. You mu...

Re: #21 APP State -25 to South AL
The bottom line, if you don’t like Appy (and I don’t much care for it) keep it to yourself. Making a big deal about it is inviting more people to use it when they know it pisses us off. If We found a nickname for GSU that their fans really disliked, would you stop using it when they told us they di...

Re: #21 APP State -25 to South AL
The media guide is actually intended for...the MEDIA! I seriously doubt that opposing coaches sit there and read the media guides for all their opponents. I don't know if he intended anything or not but I don't think that most do. I did notice that Coach Drink used "ULL" a couple of times last week ...

Re: SB Championship game
I'd say we are all assuming APP will be there. Well, App IS in Boone, so... I'm sure you've heard the old saying, " Counting our chickens before they hatch " We don't need anymore backfield injuries, or we may be watching it on TV. Is that what you are doing? Many times they do hatch, regardl...

Re: Ted 'The Truth' Roof Appreciation Thread
Their QB was terrible and receiver drops as mentioned. We got little pressure on the QB however..... But we held them to one TD and an extra point. Coach Roof knows what he is doing. An observation not a criticism Evans is actually known as a pretty effective dual threat QB. At the beginning of the...

Re: Ted 'The Truth' Roof Appreciation Thread
Thank you Mr. Roof for bringing your outstanding defensive mind to Boone and making me already forget the name of our last defensive coordinator. I'm sorry you had to endure the stress of a small section of our clown community calling for your head after two games. I don’t think App nation is a clo...

Re: SB Championship game
Was watching the UL vs Arky st game. Saw a commercial for the SB championship game. Thought it said at 11 am. I assume that is coverage and game starting at noon?? Did anyone else see that? They would have been talking Central time. Both UL and Arkansas State are in Central Time Zone, as is the SBC...

Re: Halloween is coming - about the GS rivalry
11-4 and the games are rarely run-aways. Trajectories might be different at the moment but GS will be back. The primary thing we have in common is that both programs have a winning culture. Neither will tolerate losing for long...or mediocrity for that matter. App has benefited from more stability i...

Haven't seen / heard any details yet. Just the general post showing his tweet that he is out. I'm sure it will come out but I've been wondering the same thing...maybe it was a practice injury.sixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:27 amWhen did Harrington get hurt? Re: Better than we’ve ever done it before
If we don’t beat USC, I believe that us beating UNC will be considered a case of us catching them early/enter your excuse. It would lose it’s significance outside of the program, in my opinion. That's a completely lame excuse. We could just as easily say the same thing. Our D is getting better as t...

Re: Better than we’ve ever done it before
a fluke filled game against UGA that took a missed FG in Double OT to win. I watched the entire game. Not sure what you mean by "fluke" filled. USC looked like the better team all day. I thought it would be over after their freshman QB got knocked out of the game but the USC D came to play. USC mis...
