Re: Baseball 2019 Game Megathread
The series at Troy is pretty ugly so far. I hope we can avoid the sweep.

It's not a matter of really being "excited" but this series makes sense.

I don't know the "behind the scenes" on this. Maybe she is guilty of something but it sure does smell like a scapegoat from here.

Isn't that the same title that Lutz has been given at Nebraska?

Re: UNC-C buying tix on Hill?
I had a good time in Charlotte last year. Of course I live in the area and work here in uptown Charlotte. I know some of the App fans like to be super dismissive of the Niners, and it sounds like I'm one of those in my above post (the "delusional" comment) but that comment was really pointed at a sp...

Re: UNC-C buying tix on Hill?
I'm looking forward to showing the few that make the trip what a healthy football culture looks like. I am looking forward to the hospitality that you are known for. Come on up, Nugget. You'll be treated well at the game. Except for you score, I hope you and yours have a great day in Boone. ...

Oh, I am very much aware that they will never be able to flip the script. I wasn't even suggesting that. I'm just saying they could bring more than a few hundred.

Re: Baseball 2019 Game Megathread
We are at 15 wins already. Last year's total was 18. We will eclipse last year's record. I find it frustrating too, but discounting the SoCon or Big South in baseball is dangerous. Technically, CCU was still in the Big South when they won the national championship weren't they? The SoCon has always ...

Re: North Carolina lawmakers seek to allow alcohol sales at college sporting events
For the record, as I stated above, I don't think selling beer at the concessions would really increase alcohol consumption or drunkenness especially among students. I wouldn't see students as the target for these $8 beer sales. That said, I will be pretty surprised if this bill actually passes in to...

Re: UNC-C buying tix on Hill?
I disagree. I think the Niner fans are delusional enough that they will still be optimistic. They have an easy game before this one and the fact that it is App will bring a few out. I don't know what their allotment is but they might actually have greater numbers than you think.

Re: UNC-C buying tix on Hill?
Hill tickets are general admission so I assume they would be pretty easy to get. Maybe they asked for more tickets and we worked out a deal.

Re: North Carolina lawmakers seek to allow alcohol sales at college sporting events
The problem with making the assumption that selling beer in the stadium will increase alcohol consumption because of increased availability is that it assumes compliance with the current prohibition. The reality is that many respond to the absence by smuggling in alcohol, usually in a form which is ...

Re: Interesting article from the Democrat
I didn't read it as there being a problem with sharing the spotlight. I read it as there being a change in expectations. Satterfield EXPECTED him to be a running QB and that's what he became. This year, he is having to adapt because he is expected to spread the ball around and let the WRs make plays...

Just sounds like a young man trying to keep perspective to me. Nothing alarming at all. I like that he is giving credit to his team mates.

Re: Jay Person?
Sutton is a featured receiver on a very successful team. Why would it benefit him to transfer? He would lose a year of eligibility and if he went to a power program, he would likely get buried and blend into the mix of 4 and 5 start WRs on their roster. I doubt he transfers. The stand out players m...

That will be good experience for him to get working under Mack Brown. Never know. He could still land back in Boone at some point.

Thanks, NewApp. I Googled also, but the firewall here at work won't allow the Journalnow article to remain open. I'll read the article when I get home.
