Re: Panthers Chat Tonight
Locally it's on WCCB Fox Charlotte. I know that most TV listings were showing the Lions game but they said last night that the Panthers would be shown. And my TiVo now shows the Panthers game. I just had to reset my recording.

Re: ECU message boards
Hell at least we were begging AQ leagues. You were begging C-USA and they preferred to invite a team that doesn't even have a football team over you. Pot calling kettle black? I'd pick a better line of return smack than "hey the Big East turned you down." You couldn't even get in the Suck-Belt. Bef...

Re: US Soccer gets First Win in Mexico
Love the reaction of the fans down there once they lost. From all reports it was VERY ugly. ESPN's reporters had to use umbrellas to keep the various liquids off of them. Just love how these games seem to bring out the best in fans around the world.

Re: Wednesday Scrimmage
According to reports Miller, who has been hurt, was cleared to play Wednesday but the coaches decided to hold him out a couple more days just to let him rest and recover a little more. Sumler's plane was late arriving and he wasn't able to make it in time to play Wednesday. He will be on the field t...

Re: Cadet Interview
Love to hear that from Cadet. He has his head firmly on his shoulders. And I don't think he has to worry about the practice squad for long. If he keeps playing like he has these first two games and NO tries to put him there he will get picked up quickly by another team. There were 15 scouts at the H...

Re: New recruit
One more little tidbit of info. I went back and looked at his ESPN recruiting profile from 2011. He was ranked 62 on the ESPN 150. #62 out of ESPN's top 150 players in the nation ain't too shabby of a pickup for us. Can't wait to see what he can do once he learns SS's offense. Like BS said, just get...

Re: New recruit
Whoever did it looks like it could pay off for having rapport with some of these 4-5 stars players. If things don't exactly go like their dreams, APP could benefit as a back up. Completely agree. I also think we will see better recruiting results with our new approach to offering players. I like th...

Re: USA Basketball Gold Medal Game
I thought it was fantastic that when a game is called objectively that a team of 3 nba starters and a bunch of bench players can go toe to toe with a team of nba all stars and future hall of famers and a hall of fame coach. Spain put on a hell of a game but ran out of gas in the last 3 ish minutes....

Re: New recruit
Firemoose: I have a feeling the author of the story misinterpreted Satterfield's comments. I believe Satterfield was saying that Sumler was being recruited by Florida International. That would square with Satterfield's time in Miami. That also squares with David Jackson's comments on "Around the Mo...

All right, PeeDee... You called down the thunder. Well, now you've got it! You see that? It says "Appalachian State Mountaineers."... Take a good look at him, PeeDee, because that's how you're gonna end up!... The Pirates are finished, you understand me?! I see a purple jersey, I kill the man weari...

Re: New recruit
I found it interesting that we went after him in 2010 as a junior but then he busted out as a senior to the point of having, according to Rivals, 26 FBS offers, mostly BCS offers. But it appears from some of the articles I've read that he didn't forget that we were one of the first to find him. Agai...

AE and the Panthers
Pretty disappointing night all around for AE. He had two decent kick returns and a catch but he didn't see the field until the third quarter and didn't get in at WR until Clausen was put in. I have been at many of the camp days in the past two weeks (missed fan fest due to being sick) and AE has loo...

Good get by the coaches. Love the new attitude as far as recruiting and targeting players. Welcome change.
If he lives up to his potental he'll be a great addition.

Re: Honey Badger
There is a report from some SBNation blogger that he is headed to McNeese State. I have read several reports that said it was the 3rd failed drug test but only the one saying he was going to McST. If the 3rd failed test is true then he can't play at any NCAA school at any level. NAIA or JUCO would b...

Re: Recruiting, 2013
Agreed....I love to see the kids come in with good heads on the shoulders after all the trouble we've had. Doesn't mean they will stay out of trouble but they have a better chance than others if they are willing to work that hard on school in addition to football.DPASU wrote:4.3 GPA...please more of this!
