Re: $115 Million Wasted
To ease some minds here: I am very close with a few individuals who work at the UNC System Office and are frequently in those 'behind-closed-doors' meetings. I hear time and time again that Chancellor Everts is a favorite of the UNC System Board and North Carolina Legislators. She knows how to barga...

Off topic (but also on topic): Eric Church cancels concert to watch Duke/UNC basketball game
While he may be an App State alum, Eric Church continues to show the masses that he is a Tarheel first and foremost. Whether you are somebody who is okay with Mountaineer fans having a secondary team or if App State IS your secondary team, you have to admit that this is a trashy move. Cancelling a c...

Sun Belt or independent. I don't think there is a snowball's chance in hell you'll see them in CUSA.

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
Get rid of the tacky siding on the sidelines and I'll be happy. I know that it's covering up unsightly concrete, but that's better than what we have right now. The siding looks cheap, with fonts and colors that don't match the rest of our brand. They either need an upgrade or need to go altogether.

Re: NEZ Update Query
I don't foresee them adding any sort of tower to the east side, as the current stands are already looming over Stadium Drive. Unless they tear down Quinn and divert the road there, there's no room. My assumption is that they will bowl in Miller Hill before they do anything else with the east stands....

Re: NEZ work today
I know there are talks of expanding to the ground level at some point, or is it just me in thinking that the floating seats look weird? It's odd to see these massive concrete seats jutting out from the first floor with just a patio beneath. I'd rather see them go ahead and put in the first floor sea...

Re: Field Upgrades
I had some time to throw together some mockups this evening. I assume that the new turf will look something like at least one of these. I definitely don't see us going with a green endzone, but I do see the new 'AppState' wordmark being used in a pretty bold way. I would love to see Yosef at 25-yard...

Re: Future of NO Bowl
Based off what I have seen around the web, it doesn't look like the Sun Belt's bowl lineup is getting much better next year. A lot of other conferences released their 2020-2025 bowl lineups earlier this year, but nothing has come from the Sun Belt so far. That's a bit concerning for me, especially s...

Re: Doug Gillin?
Lazy hire from a guy who couldn't get a better job. See ya'll in NOLA. I'm not quite sure if we really need you in NOLA if you're just going to talk down about the men who are getting us there and (hopefully) leading us to victory. Clark, the guy who will be leading this team during the NOLA Bowl, ...

Re: Stadium parking deck
When all this is over will the deck and what's left of the lot then hold more than it did as just a parking lot? When all is said and done, we'll have more parking as well as more dorm space. There shouldn't be much, if any, of the old stadium lot left once there are four dorms and a north endzone ...

Argue? I thought it was a discussion on how future suffering may be avoided. Sorry you are offended. Are you unsure of what the word "offended" means? I'm not offended here. I merely asked if this conversation could be moved elsewhere. Sorry if a simple request offends you, though! Have a great nig...

Re: Shooting at UNC Charlotte
Can we move this discussion to another thread? I don't think we should be arguing semantics of gun control (or lack of it), whether people should be Christian or not, and how "lost" Millenials are in the same thread where we send our condolences to the UNC Charlotte community. It'd be good for us to...

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search
I'm crossing my fingers for Lutz at this point. Craft is good, but Kerns doesn't even have a winning record at Presbyterian, so I don't know how that would go. I think Lutz would excite people more than these other two guys would.

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search
Let's be honest. The program needs hype. This is a little bit of hype. If the hire is Lutz then there's people in Charlotte that remember and like him. It'll perk some ears. App Basketball would be okay with a slow burn hire, that could grow like we hoped Fox would. But, what App Basketball needs i...

Re: Mountaineer Impact Site is Live
I'm wondering how fans will get into the APP Side of the stadium? With the current entrance being turned into parking, what kind of entrance will be built to really allow fans to 'enter' that experience? Huh? We currently have that massive gate that stretches the entire plaza that shows that separa...
