Anyone else think that the seemingly every pitch play call gets ridiculous? I can see situational stuff like bunting, hit and run or hit backside but when you take a third strike what exactly was the play call?

I just scrolled through the current roster and if I counted correctly we have 24 players listed who transferred in. There might be 6 or so listed above not yet added. That would have us close to 30 next season who didn't sign here as freshmen. Kind of crazy but free agency is probably here to stay.

I've noticed that the umpires let ball after ball hit the dirt and they keep them in play. In the majors every ball that touches the dirt gets thrown out. Is that for cost reasons at this level to keep using balls? I'd always thought that a scuff mark on a ball is what some pitchers love.

We all know it would take a major miracle to make a run to Sunday. Baseball can be crazy but without pitching you generally don't have a chance. It would be great to get a win today and most likely a rematch with Troy again tomorrow. We can definitely beat them.

Long way back now. They gave us some runs with the errors and we gave them back. Hard to go high school style putting in a pinch runner then he plays in the field then comes in to pitch with no bullpen warmups. Tough loss for sure.
