Re: This Doesn't Look Good
We have to move up and get in the door. Even if the SB did fold down the road the very worst that would happen is we would move back to FCS. So really what is there to be affriad of? Agreed we have to take advantage of our facilities and performance on the gridiron right now. If we had moved up las...

Re: App needs to be in "The Group of Five"
Agree with most here. We need to get into the "Group of Five" or we will lose everything we have worked for in the past decade. Once in the "Group of Five," we will have more resources and can grow our football program even more for the future of Appalachian State University!

GSU
Huge game that App must absolutely win tonight! I will be there as always sitting in the front of the student section.
The team needs to continue it's good home court play as of late and take care of business to garner some momentum going into the Davidson game on Saturday. Go APPS!!

Re: Recruiting, 2013
Great link about Appalachian commit Lee Wright from York, SC. As previously mentioned on the board here he was named the Charlotte area Defensive Player of the Year. This is the full story and interestingly enough he just switched over to defense this year. http://www.enquirerherald.com/2012/12/05/2...

Parker Collins just tweeted ten minutes ago about Cincinnati is coming to visit him today. Hope we do not lose him to a bigger school.

Re: Now that we got Woody, who is our next OC?
Maybe so. But I'm thinking the potential arrangement of hiring an offensive asst to serve as co-coordinator might be the best of both worlds. Satt would call most of the plays, which is his forte' and the co-coordinator could do the heavy lifting of prepping the offense, etc I like the idea. I woul...

Re: Big East to add Tulsa to get 12 teams
Unfortunately, I think it is a matter of if and not when WKU will leave, which is not good for Appalachian. WKU and MTSU are geographically convenient and have strong basketball programs. Losing both of them hurts the conference basketball RPI and put us on more of an island geographically. Still a...

Re: UTC
Chattanooga has always been a tough place to play for the Apps. I think we are something like 7-25 in the Scenic City. This seems to be a game I would slightly favor Chattanooga in because they are at home and I am not sure how well our defensive intensity will travel on the road. The Apps must get ...

Re: Big East to add Tulsa to get 12 teams
Completely unrelated but MTSU and Florida Atlantic (both current Sun Belt members), are trying to get into Conference USA a year early. The only hold up is the two schools having to pay a $1 million fee to leave early. This would leave the Sun Belt with only 8 teams for this year. Which means to get...

Yes the students may not have been overly abundant but it was the best student showing of the season. They got to see an exciting game and this will hopefully bring them back for the next few weekends games versus Western and Davidson. I am a student and have attended every sport possible from volle...

Teachey has been promoted to DC at Wofford. This means the Woody thing should be cleared up very soon. It is a great time to be a Mountaineer!
