Re: Updated Bowl Projections
The bowl system is absolutely ridiculous, there are only a very few narrow minded and likely greedy beneficiaries of the current bowl system that would argue otherwise. Even my Clemson fan friends who have benefitted a great deal from the current CFP process agree the bowl system is absurd. . . but ...

Re: App State looks to correct mistakes going into game with ULM
It seems to me that coaches admitting they made a mistake on a play call is a slippery slope. Unless you call for a jump pass over the middle inches from the goal line on the last play of the Super Bowl, there are way too many factors that go into a successful play beyond the calling of the actual p...

Re: Gainey's BIG night
Gainey has continued to tear up CFL QB's. With 1 game in the regular season remaining, he has a league leading 10 interceptions. He's a finalist for the Most Outstanding Defensive Player award.

Re: Foot Shooting
Very true, but an offense that can consistently move the ball throughout the course of a game will not be significantly hindered by one or even two drives stalled by costly penalties. Likewise a defense that consistently forces 3rd and long and then holds for a punt will not be in a situation that a...

Re: Foot Shooting
I really think some of you are looking at this the wrong way. I think you combine some of the observations made with others and come up with a pretty logical conclusion that does not draw the target on coaching or lack of discipline. App State plays a particularly aggressive and physical style of fo...

Re: For my buddy bcoach and others ---
Going for 0 penalties in Idaho will toss that stat off kilter a bit. I think we can all agree that any team, no matter how disciplined, having a 0 penalty game is very rare. . . .

I sure would like a bit of a faster start from the App State offense this week, but even another slow roll is likely still to be a roll . . .

Re: Challenge for next week
The reality is that in conference play there are very few gimmes, if any at all. Just ask Clemson, Washington, and Washington State about assuming a conference win, or expecting to get playing time for the 2nd and 3rd stringers . . . the problem with being the team with a target (which I think we ca...

Re: NCAA to UNC: "It is our business"
UNC-CHeat just took the concept of a "rocks for jocks" class to another level of absurdity. Their "paper classes" never actually met in a class room or any forum (virtual or otherwise, although their indiscretions date prior to online classes). Adding further insult to injury the requirements for th...

Re: P(5)AC-12 HC...Expand the CFP
As a fan wanting more I like the idea of a 12 team playoff with the top 4 getting a bye, I don't think it extends the timeline too much. While it would be 17 games for seeds 5-12, should one make it to the Championship, the National Championship can still be played by the first Saturday in January. ...

Re: NCAA to UNC: "It is our business"
A few thoughts on this not surprising, yet still disappointing outcome. First, what a colossal waste of time, money and resources, the NCAA is a farce. Second, the NCAA has effectively given free reign to member institutions, who care more about wins and banners than education, to create and run fra...

Re: Official Palouse prediction thread
I'm conflicted on this one. I think App State wins, I'm just all over the place on how the score will run. I don't expect Idaho to put up more than their current season high on the Mountaineer defense, the question is how does the App offense play. . .

Re: Which OOC G5 Team Would You Want To Play The Most?
I'd like to see a H&H with Navy, and/or UCF. While Memphis is a close 3rd, you get much further away on the bloated self important AAC roster and the geography just doesn't work in the favor of fan base. Speaking of bloated self importance, EZU is already on the schedule . . . so there's that.

Re: Student section Yelling "You Suck @ssholes" on kickoffs - PLEASE STOP
Admittedly I am bit fast and loose with my use of colorful language, especially around my inner circle of friends, and I tend to agree with Gonzo on this one. Is calling the other team a group of asshole suckers, or assholes that suck depending on your use of a comma, classy? No, but is it reprehens...
