Re: App @ Texas A&M in 2022

I can tell you from experience that Kyle Field provides an awesome game day experience. If you get a chance, you should definitely make the trip.

Re: Harrington tears ACL

Tough break for this young man, as he made great strides last year. Hopefully he will have a quick and successful recovery and see playing time this year! This does show the value of early spring practice as it adds recovery time in a case such as this. The ACL is the bad news. The good news is it ...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

Stadium enhancements are the way to go. Our attendance is not so great outside of the Wake, Miami and the annual Parents Weekend game. http://footballscoop.com/news/ncaa-football-attendance-across-board-2017/ We did 20k+ for every home game this year and our capacity before we started these renovat...

Re: The Quarterbacks

I went to an event last week with Coach Satt and Doug G. Satt said it's anyone's race but that ZT would be very difficult to unseat as the #1 at this point. Coach said he was fast, smart, and had a big arm. I don't want anyone to take what I'm about to say wrong: But, something tells me that ZT is ...

Re: S & C Donations/Fundraiser...Part II

Very little healthy in jerky except a little protein. It's loaded with sodium. Of course if an athlete sweats a lot, it could be beneficial. Otherwise, nada. Not sure what part of "minimally processed" you missed. And a "little protein"? It has more protein than most high protein bars and mixes on ...

Re: SBC Bowl Games

Big 10 is 5-0 based on what I saw this morning. Not sure if that is still accurate or not. It is. Purdue, Northwestern, Iowa, Michigan State, and Ohio State all won. Penn State and Wisconsin play today and Michigan plays on the 1st. The Sun Belt needs two of them to lose for us to win the Cup.

What about Sam Washington at A&T? His defenses have been very strong.

Re: Next Years Squad

We lose QB Lamb, RB Upshaw, WR Lewis, Letman, and Jones, OL Macaulay, Nunn, and Gossett, DE Sims and Fuller, LB Boggs, Stringer, and Townes, DB Pinckney and Howard. Lamb and Boggs will be big losses from a leadership and production standpoint, but I think Nunn and Gossett will be the hardest to repl...

We could use an experienced right guard and tackle to provide some depth.
Matt Luke was the OL coach at Ole Miss before he became Head Coach. I would imagine that those guys are the least likely to transfer.

Re: @ Akron

We actually played a pretty good game tonight. Outside of a few poor shot selections, there isn't much to criticize. Akron just passed the ball phenomenally well, sometimes the other guys just play good games.

Re: Dale Jones mentioned on Volnation blog as possible asst on new coaching staff

Not going to happen unless it's a non-recruiting role. Rumph, Sherrer, and Rocker will coach DL, ILB, and OLB so no spot on the staff for Jones.

Re: Insights from the enemy.

Begs the question. Are we better than last year? I would say that we are not. We had more proven healthy playmakers on offense at this time last year and our defense wasn't as bang up, was deeper, and I believe had the statistical edge in most categories. I would have agreed with you until the past...

Re: Satterfield Interviews

Mike Houston would be my first, second and third phone call if I was Doug! He would be my third call behind Tim Horton and Stacy Searels. I think there's a genuine chance that those two guys would stick around for 10 years and end their career here. Mike Houston is more likely to bolt after three s...
