Re: Roster Updates
With the class that was just announced, quite a few of the players on our roster are going to be looking over their shoulders and re-evaluating their prospects for playing time going forward. It's a fact that we've just brought in some better players than some of the players on our roster. Greg Milh...

Re: Basketball Reunion Pictures
Looking at the picture of the framed ring belonging to Coach Robinson. Was that presented to him or was that something he brought up. I have watched him coach a lot of games and he is a great one. Talk about a guy who can get more out of players than anyone would ever think. Saw him win games again...

Re: Chancellor Survey Results
Be careful. It is a bit unseemly (if not ignorant) to judge the importance of someone else's work when you don't have a fraction of the skills and knowledge needed to even understand it. Hope you find this interesting or at least helpful. As an App professor, I just hope to correct some of the misp...

Re: Chancellor Survey Results
Long time visitor, but as an App professor, I wanted to clear up some very misleading comments about professors. The idea that professors work 3-5 hours a day is laughable. And a bit insulting I must add. I understand that people do not fully understand what professors do, so forgive me for offerin...

Today's Winston-Salem JOURNAL ran an editorial which essentially boils this "can't read" scandal down to one simple question that UNC Chancellor Carol Folt must answer...

Re: Recruiting, 2014
"Oh, what a tangled web we weave.." Why do I think more rules are on the way from our "friends" in the NCAA? Rules yes, but no enforcement, unless they single out SUNY-Stonybrook or someone else way down the totem pole.

I recognize a few faces. But most I don't know, at least by the picture. Can anyone describe a few pictures? 0833 isn't on your list, but the guy in the center w/gray V-neck sweater and glasses-on-a-cord is Dr. Gerald Francis , former Provost and now Exec VP at Elon. Gerry Francis was an uber-smart...

Re: WBB: Furple at App State
BIG win for the Lady Apps! Mocs up next. This game is encouraging in that all-everything Mountaineer forward Maryah Sydnor was held scoreless by Furman in the first half; but the Apps still went to the break with the lead. This appears to be a sign that some of the young Apps are coming of age. Sop...

Re: Predict the next coach thread
Also don't get me wrong, I do like hearing the local take on topics here, not living in Boone I wouldn't know what the locals are say otherwise. It's just that I hear that we need more big donors, but becoming ones seems to put a target on your their back. The saying "no good deed goes unpunished" ...

WBB: Furple at App State
Darcie's young Lady Mountaineers are currently locked in a three-way tie for fifth place in the SoCon standings with Elon and GaSouth. All have 5-5 records in conference play. Tonight Furple's Lady 'Dins come to town sporting a 6-4 record. A win for the Apps tonight will propel them into a two-way t...

We should be extra careful attacking or spreading false witness on big financial contributor if we want more. I know nothing about MH, but being a contributor shouldn't automatically set you up for attack. If something is proven, sure why not. I understand the sharing part and keeping everyone info...

Re: Predict the next coach thread
I was being serious; and I'm aware of his health issues. Not good. I'm also concerned about Coach Light. It's really scary how he's aged in recent years. It hasn't been that long since he was active on the seniors tennis circuit. And winning as usual. Speaking of tennis--Bobby C & Carolyn bought pro...
