Re: Recruiting, 2013

Yep, Moore gave him a flying chest bump after the play too. It was pretty funny to see as Brian has a 40 inch vertical.

Re: Mountain West may be after C-USA Texas teams

MWC jumps to 16 becoming the 6th best football conference jumping the Big East. That would leave Big East with (8) assuming Navy backs out: UConn Temple Cincy ECU Memphis USF UCF Tulane That would leave CUSA with (12): Marshall UNCC ODU UAB S. Miss FIU FAU Rice UTSA North Texas LA Tech Option A: Big...

Re: Boise St. not going to BE afterall

Yes, this could shake things out (or up.) A lot depends on if SDSU stays committed to the BE or whether they go back to the MWC. I think that this is a case of less being more for our chances of getting an invitation in the near term... SDSU wrote into their contract with the BE if Boise doesn't fo...

Re: Commitment No. 5, Mike Kobani

According to a Twitter post by JACrecruiting, Mike Kobani of High Point Christian is having an exceptional game tonight against Isaiah Hicks of Oxford Webb. Hicks, by the way, is a 6-8 five-star forward who recently signed with UNC. Says JACrecruiting: "Mike Kobani has absolutely shut down Isaiah H...

Re: Commitment No. 5, Mike Kobani

He was told to say "I want put down roots here and build a program like Jerry Moore has done". I can believe he was told to say he was committed to the program, but Buzz laid it on real thick, too far for my taste. I really don't care about his finances those are choices he and his wife (who I don't...

Re: A look at Quarterback

We don't have a history of keeping our foot on the throttle. If we change that it will lead for for opportunities to play backups.

Re: TV Ratings: Our games vs Bowl games

The ratings were stronger in the 90's than they are now for the championship game. The number of televised games is also smaller than they were in the mid-2000's.

The trend isn't positive.

Re: Satterfield tweet...

Satt brought a new method to recruiting, which started back in the spring. They now use an NFL type draft board and give offers earlier as you can see with these early signees. We only had one commitment this time last year.

Re: Would We Accept Sun Belt Offer?

It isn't over until we have an invitation AND accept it.

This isn't about one "side" vs another it is doing what is right for the university long-term.

Re: Would We Accept Sun Belt Offer?

I know the majority of people at all focus groups agreed moving to FBS was the right move. That was the time to speak up. That is a fact some are attempting ignore.

Re: Would We Accept Sun Belt Offer?

What a jump to a conclusion. The people that answer those type of surveys typically fall on the two entremes thus my reference to ACC and D2. They have had over 18 months to get feedback from our fanbase. More people are for than against, luckily most are FOR App State and what the leaders perceive ...

Re: Would We Accept Sun Belt Offer?

I attended a couple as well. 50+ were at both and it included alumni members and fans from multiple states, areas within those states, many different backgrounds and varying opinions on the subject. A survey of the broad base without the presentation I saw would accomplish nothing other than divide ...

Re: Would We Accept Sun Belt Offer?

During the study they held meetings to discuss the pros and cons with a different support groups, students, faculty, alumni chapters, and Yosef Advisory Board members. Trust me not everyone in those groups were pro FBS, but when they learned more about the changing landscape of college athletics you...

Re: Football Scoop: Coach Blalock not returning/Jones not DC

I'm pro-FBS but I disagree. Unless we won a legit New Year's or later bowl the titles will rank above other bowls. If you are pro-FBS because of the postseason I don't understand that perspective. Same goes with the pro-FCS crowd. How you sacrifice 11-12 games for a 4 game tournament is beyond me. ...
