I suppose Tyrell is still sick? Don’t see him listed in the box score.

Re: MBB Senior Day: USA @ App State 2PM HCC & ESPN+
Without the Johnsons down low, #33 for USA had a field day. All he needed to do was get the ball in the post and he could back up Seacat and Wilson to the baseline and lay it in. Still, we were in it late. Down by two scores, USA had three straight one and ones and missed the front end. Yet we didn...

Re: New Hire
Caught part of a radio show last night where they were praising the coach at Presbyterian .Inherited a really poor program and has turned them around very quickly. They thought he should have been BigSouth COY. yep, Kerns has been mentioned several times on here. He is also in the Mike Young coachin...

Re: New Hire
Fox was the guy we settled on when the top choices had all turned us down. I would have felt a lot better had he coached at an ACC, SEC, or Big East school in addition to Davidson. The SoCon was all he knew and perhaps he might have succeeded had we remained there. We'll never know and now it's bac...

Re: Ga Suthin game
I’ve seen Texas State play parts of half a dozen games or so .In my opinion they have no more athleticism than we do , in fact I would contend less. What they don’t do , generally , is beat themselves. Again , my observation . Yep, they appear very beatable and have pulled out lots of very close ga...

Re: Ga Suthin game
If it’s any consolation, Danny Kasper was kept at Texas St this year after some abysmal seasons and his squad has been in first place in the belt this entire season. I remember someone on this board mentioning that their decision to keep him was the most perplexing of all in the conference after Sco...

Also, Pat Good starts for ETSU, and might be their leading scorer, Kelvin Robinson starts for EKU, and former mountaineer Jake Babic, who graduated early, is getting playing time for Texas A&M Corpus Christi as a grad transfer.

That seems apparent. It’s just interesting that he’s one of the only players in the modern era that I’ve seen return.

Re: MBB: Coastal Carolina @ App State 2 PM HCC MBB Alumni Day
I noticed that Noah Brown was the only somewhat recent player recognized with the b-ball alums. He was as pure of a shooter as I remember playing at App, other than Rufus Leach. For some reason Brown has come back quite a few times over the years, although he was from Texas.

Forrest is really good at drawing fouls. He’s a resilient player. I know Williams and Battle were really good high school football players, but Forrest looks like he could play fullback for us.

Re: Was Bobby Cremins Camp The Best in the State?
Looks like Ad-Rock of Beastie Boys may have attended basketball camp at App in 1980, since he's wearing a t-shirt in the video for "No Sleep Til Brooklyn" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07Y0cy-nvAg yep, I remember Kevin Balling (App video production instructor from early 80's until 5 or 6 years ag...

Re: MBB Vs. ULM @ 2pm on 2Feb19 at The HCC
I’ve been as critical of this team as anyone this year, but let’s give credit where it’s due. Something has obviously clicked in the last few games. These kids suddenly look like a different team. A tough stretch awaits against 6 of the top teams in the belt. Maybe we prove that we belong.

Re: Men's Basketball 31Jan19 is Heroes Day at HCC
I believe this is our first ever win over UL. Last night was the kind of performance we expected to see all season. This squad is capable of this every night if they will trust the system. Patience and teamwork are the key. It also helps to play a UL team that doesn't play defense. Yep, for some re...

Re: Men's Basketball @ A-State
He was not. Who was it Doug,Beasley or Cobb? Prince Charlie Cobb Not wanting to defend CC here, but most people thought this was a solid hire at the time. Fox has done a lot of good things for our program in correcting off court issues. Sure and he definitely inherited a mess. The talent influx he'...

Re: Men's Basketball @ A-State
Not me. I thought it was an average at best hire. It seemed to me that Cobb got mesmerized by the fact that Fox had recruited Steph Curry to Davidson. There were better candidates out there but Cobb couldn't or wouldn't close the deal on one of them. I seem to remember the job being McMahon’s to tu...
