Re: Why don’t we just play Western Carolina as our FCS game every year?

Once we announced we were moving up I think this idea was floated around. IIRC Western was not a fan of the idea of traveling to Boone every year for the amount of money we were willing to pay. They'd much rather get the heavier payday from the Alabama's of the world. I am pretty sure this sums it ...

Re: Humor

I will say this one last time for clarity; pop5app and NewApp are not the same person. Shocked to hear this, but if we are to believe anything about NewApp, it's that he himself is not capable of pulling off a sophisticated ruse. As for pop5app, like other new posters, you need to hang around here ...

Re: Humor

Wonder why we have to argue over a joke? A simple joke and someone has some snarky argument. I’m embarrassed as an APP fan. We should do better. Or at least don’t say anything. Go Apps! It's an ongoing thing around here. NewApp is into creating new and redundant threads instead of just posting in a...

I didn't have to respond, but since your joke thread never got any play I just thought I would do what I can to get this one up to at least 6 replies. You are welcome and as always, Go Apps!

Couldn't you have just added this to your enormously popular joke thread? You know, the one about the crows?

I made the trip to Wyoming last time. Flew in and out of Denver. Beautiful road trip from there to Laremie. The only disappointment was the game itself.

Re: Schedule

We play Looziana four days later on the 7th. Missed that one...Good catch! Wonder if we could get ESPN to push it back at least 1 day??? We've played on Saturday and the following Thursday several times. Really? I would would veto it. The only thing worse than weeknight games is weeknight games on ...

Had a criminal justice class with him and had the pleasure of meeting him. He was very nice, polite and down to earth, and I recall him being serious about his studies. This despite the fact he was almost certain to have a career in the NFL.

Helmets have better ventilation that allows hot air to escape. If they still had those solid domes we played with - heat problems waiting.
My face shield does not have a cap of any type. I just don't see how it can work, but I hope it can.

Re: New face shields

Seems prudent but I am just wondering how they keep from fogging up trapping all that vapor? I can fog up a face shield standing still using an angle grinder.

I was in Boone yesterday. It looks very similar to the last pictures posted. The goalposts have been removed. The track is completely gone. It looked to me like they were scrapping the last layer of “stuff” off the field and where the track was.

GO APPS!!

Re: NC Residential Roofing Code

If they’re taking 1 layer off, why not both? Since this is a once, maybe twice in a life expenditure, assuming you stay in the same house, I’d want it completely redone. Tear off everything down to the plywood to make sure there’s no rotten sheathing that needs to be replaced. New ply installation ...

Re: NC Residential Roofing Code

Sorry, I don't know what the code is, but my concern would be not replacing any sheathing that may have deteriorated over the period of time the two sets of shingles have been there. Especially if it has had leaks. It will however cost more to do it from the deck up because there will be more labor ...

Re: Turf Replacement Pics

Looks like they are covering the track behind the Bobby Lamb end zone. That make sense since they are regrading the hill. I wonder if they plan to bury the rest of it or remove it? Seems like burying it may be less costly.

Thanks to all involved for these pics.
