Re: Cobb: ACC team in Kidd Brewer

He wouldn't say something publicly like that if he wasn't sure it's happening. The next basketball coach will have ties to the Sun Belt. Can we please bring back negative reputation marks? These constant posts really deserve them. I think he is one of the disgruntled profs that is anti athletics. A...

Re: Just in case: If you missed Chancellor Everts greeting..

I had lunch yesterday with a highly influential member of the athletics staff who pretty much spent the whole day with Chancellor Everts on Tuesday. From what I understand, Dr. Everts met with the entire faculty early Tue. morning and drew rave reviews from a group that is usually slow to warm up to...

Re: Recruiting, 2015

From twitter reports SG Ronshad Shabazz (6′ 3″ 180) of Knightdale High School in Knightdale, NC has received an offer from App. I have added a player page for him with video highlights to the Main Page. The ESPN and 24/7 3 star is showing an additional offer from ODU. Per HoopSeen Twitter feed, Sha...

As they used to say in the wild, wild west. "There's a new marshal in town." We'd better get used to the change.

Then you can access it right here.

Alumni and friends probably received Chancellor Everts' Tuesday morning email, but their might be some folks who aren't on the various distribution lists. Just for those who may not have had access...

Hard to imagine it not being on the Big Ten Network; but what do I know?? As long as we know 24 hours before KO, everyone can make their final plans.

Re: Recruiting, 2014

Wow, awesome news! Barbour was ranked the #21 player in NC by Rivals. Major pickup! Depending on position changes, that could give us up to an 8-man WR class. Think Coach Stepp is feeling good about this class? Thanks Coach Sowell! Both are correct. According to reports Coach Sowell was with him wh...

Re: USA's grit not enough to hang with World Cup elite

Tim Howard played an amazing game in goal. I'm glad he's on our side! I've been around the game for 5 decades and have been involved as a player, as a coach, as an official and/or as a ticket-holding fan in the stands in what seems like a zillion matches from youth rec soccer all the way to the Pre...

Re: Bryant named starter

It's July 2 and that trip to Ann Arbor is still light years away. A lot can happen between now and Labor Day weekend. Scott and all of our experienced players know that. We, as fans, know that all too well. Let's hope that all of our players maintain better focus on citizenship, academics and footba...

USA's grit not enough to hang with World Cup elite

Yesterday's "secondary" sports news--taking a back seat to a new university chancellor and a new athletics conference--was the USA National Team's disappointing manhandling by the Belgium Nationals. Grit and determination can only carry a side so far. In the end, the good guys have to have talent on...

Re: Sunbelt adds App State plus three

Why would they talk about the four new conference members then have a line of: Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe are part of the Sun Belt Conference. Then not say who else are conference members or explain why they had that line. Sounds like from a Louisiana newspaper. Maybe that was the con...

Houston had a couple of guys on staff who had the title of DBO. Never knew if they were GAs, part-timers or volunteers. As I recall one was fairly young, the other guy was a former high school head coach from out of state.

Here's Troy's softball coach hire "after an extensive national search." Maybe we can compare Troy's result with Charlie Cobb's result in the next couple of weeks. Should be an interesting comparison.
