Re: Favorite High Country Restaurant

Visited Antlers many days and somehow always made the trip back to Boone safely every time. Winkler's Creek Road I had a professor who lived off of Diamond Ranch and would talk about how crazy that route back from BR was after a few beers. It was, however, after a few trips it was pretty routine, L...

Re: Favorite High Country Restaurant

My favorite spot was Flipside for the deep dish pizzas. 2 for $5 individual pizzas on Wednesdays. I frequented a number of other places, but it appears they've all been mentioned. Those pizzas were such a good deal. I still have a Flipside koozie floating around in the koozie drawer. College Budget...

Re: Favorite High Country Restaurant

I will fight anyone who says Daniel Boone Inn. I had a friend who worked the door at DBI. He used to hook me up with takeout (lived in Kingswood, was an easy walk). For $5 out the door, it was hard to beat for decent food. Hah, I also lived at Kingswood. An easy walk to a lot of great places.

Re: COVID Discussion

My girlfriend and I both had mild cases in December. She had 1-2 days of very mild flu-like symptoms and lost her taste/smell for about a week. I had rolling periods of mild congestion over 5 days and did not experience any other symptoms. After having mild symptoms during the infection our main con...

My number one take-away from the questions asked was that everyone's biggest priority is looking at their own priority points.

Re: Favorite Uni

The 2016-2019 uniforms were my favorite. The shoulder stripes gave a perfect pop of gold on the all-black and all-white uniforms. The current uniform is missing that gold accent on the shoulders and pants, I wish they would change it back. https://imgur.com/VCFfRWM The simplicity is fine with me. T...

Re: Zac Gone

App Nation took a major sigh of relief when they saw ZT’s performance at Penn State. I give Penn State the slight edge over UNC for my favorite in-person game due to how well we played vs the expectations going into the game. I follow the team pretty closely and I had no idea that ZT would come out...

they better enjoy their success now, because that coach won't be there long. Maybe not even next year.
That is UNCC level smack talk.

How often are we testing our guys?
In his interview on WV Sportsline, Clark said they are testing 3 days a week. They tested on Sunday, Tuesday and will test again today.
What's the turn around on the testing service that App is using?

Re: Marshall moves to CBS

Do we get the announcers that normally do the SEC prime game? Doesn't really matter. Network and Time slot is more important than announcers. Just curious Wonder if we have to train the announcers to pronounce Appalachian correctly? And that we are not the "apps" (penn state announcer)...or Beers (...

After seeing these live in a game it's clear that the A is too low on the shoulder. It was getting swallowed up by pads all day long.

I’m not an authority but I do know he’s not bro-Country, I'm aware, I just like to make fun of country when the opportunity prevents itself. Good game everyone!

As long as we're all homebound, I like the idea of this becoming a weekly thread.
