Re: Time to give Shawn Clark contract extension
Shawn made $775k this year. I think he's happy and grateful for the opportunity. Raising it $100k isn't going to make a difference whether he stays or goes and I really don't care if other SBC coaches make more than OUR guy. That isn't a rational reason for a raise. I'd rather see us use any increm...

Re: Was Iron Mike let go?
I mean, I get people may not like his methods (at least that's what I've heard on here a few times, I don't know the guy at all), but you can't argue with his results. It is not his training methods because the program he has is very good. It is the way he treats people. Those who were below him le...

Re: Was Iron Mike let go?
Now Vince Tyra has turned down FSU offer. So perhaps good news for Satt. Hopefully next season shows more progress for him. It certainly doesn't help that UK has Stoops continuation in building that program. It sounds like a huge mess up there. They went from 100% in on the AD and Satt to wanting t...

Re: Was Iron Mike let go?
Saw verification about an hour after posting but thank you! Sad to see and I know Satt kept him from being forced out here but I guess he couldn’t even cover for him anymore.

Re: Peoples
All I know of Cam is what I’ve seen on the field and the sidelines. Hurt or healthy he always looked positive and encouraging. Made the comment to several folks before this thread ever started that he looked like a great teammate. Hope he heals and stays a Mountaineer. Agree about his character. I ...

Re: Time to give Shawn Clark contract extension
I don't agree that this year should be discounted because of Brice. In fact, Brice was a talent that he DID recruit, although from the portal. Regarding the super seniors, I guess it's true that Clark didn't recruit them, but he is a big part of the reason they remained. I'm fine with waiting anoth...

Re: Time to give Shawn Clark contract extension
It is time to give coach Clark a contract extension and raise. He has proven himself. When he was hired he got a similar contract as his predecessors because “he was unproven”……. that is no longer the case. He has won 20 games in two seasons beat a top 14 team and played in the SunBelt Championship...

Re: Peoples
The issue is people like you don’t know anything about it. You cast aspersions on what he thinks, wants, or will do when you don’t know. I don’t know either but I’m not making claims that I do. I’m telling you what he’s actually doing. Maybe I have talked to someone within the family or someone on ...

Re: Peoples
I don't know why he's sitting, but have you been watching Cam Peoples' twitter? Dude is constantly congratulating and retweeting recognition for teammates. He's doing everything he can publicly to show he's an engaged part of this team. I think many MANY of you are vastly misunderstanding a dude wh...

Re: Peoples
Also, to everyone saying we didn't get Cam the ball enough. Noel Attempts 196 YDS 1,078 AVG 5.5 TD 4 Cam Attempts 153 YDS 825 AVG 5.4 TD 14 We almost had 2 1k RBs again. Cam had some injury issues and they were probably watching the number of plays he had so that he can have a full football career ...

Re: Napier Article from AP
Interesting that Napier was paid as much as he is. I assume all the analysts were paid as well. Although SBC Championship Game had decent fan turnout, many of their games did not appear to have anything close to sellout..it must be the deep pockets providing the support. He was highest paid in the ...

Can't wait to hear SC, Tenn, Vandy, UGA, etc complain about the sign stealing and comment about how easy it is with that many staff. Re: ULL CCG discussion
I have no doubt ULL was stealing our signs. Two things with that: 1) We were likely stealing theirs as well 2) Change the signs up if you expect it happened in the first matchup That is my thought. If the opponent is being obvious or making it easy to know their play then use it. We should change o...
