Re: Moving on to Marshall
Marshall is riding a 4 game losing streak? Do we finish them off or kickstart their end of season run? When you have a streak like that... You have nothing to lose. Sometimes that definitely true. Other times, you're just broken. Regardless of the frustrations, App's trajectory is MUCH more positiv...

Re: Warning - don't park at Wal Mart!
This is an amazing thread to me. Private Property owner tows unauthorized vehicles. No one has the right to park on private property unless it is for intended use. absolutely correct. My point wasn't that they didn't have a right, but that it is a missed opportunity. Designate a portion and charge ...

Re: Warning - don't park at Wal Mart!
Nobody has to like Walmart. It's your choice, but WM in Boone has always stocked a pretty impressive App State section and provided some decent licensed gear at good prices. I would be surprised if they would do anything that would alienate App fans, so I have to think the owner is the one doing thi...

Great video and love that we're wearing all black. Just curious though....why aren't we wearing the Heroes logo?

Re: FANS
I'm fine with folks asking people in "powerful" positions the tough questions and providing accountability. There is a professional way to do so and quite frankly that is lacking in many facets of society today, both the professionalism and accountability. Asking the "tough questions" is fine but t...

Re: Moving on to Marshall
If I was Huff I would run it between the tackles until we prove we can consistently stop them .We have an edge LB playing nose .Great kid , playing hard but he gets moved pretty easily. Can't squander our possessions as they could be hard to come by. I think we can stop the run or we can stop the bi...

Re: #TeamClark
Here is a stat for you….no team in our division has a losing overall record This league is very strong. I don't think anyone is doubting that by now. We have some teams who are up and down at times like USA but just about every team in this league can win at any given time. Relative to Air Force, J...

Re: #TeamClark
Yes and we’ll lose three interior lineman next year. The lack or recruiting and development at the Oline is surprising given the circumstances. I'm not talking about graduation. I'm talking about during the game yesterday. The guys playing last night were the backups. Lack of development at the OL ...

Re: #TeamClark
We lost both offensive tackles if I'm not mistaken. The offense finally stepped up. Yes, the players won the game. That's what they were supposed to do when coaches put them in position to do so. I still think the Defensive backfield is better than last year but they're finding new ways to frustrate...

Re: Official other rock prediction thread
I would take losing this game if we could just win at JMU this season. We owe them one. But I hope Nate runs for 200 today! App 35, Somiss 21 Nope. We have no cards to trade at this point. The goal is to win out. It's unlikely, but that has to be the goal. We owe both these teams. We owe Southern M...

Re: #TeamClark
The only thing about 2019 that was an aberration was the loss to GS. That was a good team on both sides of the ball and there is no reason to discount their performance. My personal opinion is that we have the talent to compete with that team in most positions, with the exception of the defensive se...

Re: Official other rock prediction thread
Folks have a right to pick however they see it, but it really is sad seeing App fans surrendering so quickly. Hopefully this is the beginning of a run that restores some faith. This year, the roll of Troy will be played by Southern Miss (circa 2014).

Re: To the players
Agree but in 2023, it is also play for your scholarship. Play for your NIL. Play for your exposure. Play for your position on the depth chart. There is so much to play for even when it seems like there isn’t. Those are realities in the business decisions but I think that, on game day, the best moti...

Re: Can we fix this
In order to make the championship, we have to win out. Coastal has to lose one more since they have the head to head tie breaker. If JMU gets approved for post season, they have to lose another one (in addition to losing to us) as well

Re: Moving on to Southern Miss
Yeah, I'm not sure that Burger's broken finger would be seen as season ending, but as a QB, maybe so. Seems like a stretch but the recovery time from a broken finger is more than the bone healing. I'm sure there is a rehab period to get his grip strength back and not being able to throw for weeks in...

Re: JMU v Marshall Game
JMU came into FBS at full strength unlike App who came in off of a slump. If we had transitioned in 2008 or 2009 it would have been interesting. JMU also has both the benefit (and the challenge) of coming into a stronger SunBelt schedule which helps in the rankings given their wins. I'm not trying t...

Re: Look what's coming back........
I actually liked this logo on the helmets. The only thing I didn't care for was that version of Yosef. This was during the years when they tried to "clean up" Yoself. They trimmed his beard, took away the pope and gave him a new hat. It pretty much just looked like "man with hat and beard" but nothi...

Re: App school colors question
I honestly didn't know we had those as "official" colors but my assumption is that it is for the academic side of the university. I know that when I had my freshman orientation back in 1980, I was given a maroon t-shirt with the academic (dove dotting the "i") logo.
